Day 2646: The Best Kind of Kindness

The best kind of kindness is kindness that takes effort– that’s what I’ve realized.

It’s 1 : 16  PM on day 2646 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  read ,  and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – A HUGE thanks to Sebastian Schütte, Founder of the PandaCrew, donated $100 yesterday  which brings the total raised to  $5 126 only $7 374 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot

Today I realized that the best kind of kindness is kindness that takes effort because you know how hard you worked and how much love you put into it.

Day 2603: Lessons in Kindness Taught To Me by My Superhero Catherine Constantinides

It doesn’t cost much at all to be kind– that’s what my Superhero Catherine Constantinides continues to teach me.

It’s 12:  36 PM on day 2603 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  read 1 Peter 3:14 and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet -raised $4 388 only $8 112 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot (thanks to everyone who has helped out so far).

Yesterday my Superhero Catherine Constantinides called me from the airport on her way to the USA to speak at the Obama Foundation‘s Obama Summit just to say I carry you in my heart whatever I go I was just blown away and so touched I’m usually not the mushy sort but anyone would have to be made of stone not to be moved by that (it’s not just what she said and did that touched me so deeply but the context in which it was done I mean there she was ready to board a plane to go and be amongst the best minds and hearts in the world and she chose to call me to say I carry you in my heart whatever I go…simply extraordinary actually). Thank you Superhero for showing me what kindness looks like and sounds like and for teaching me that it is always necessary to be kinder than necessary (I love you more than Peanut Butter and French Toast).

Day 2569: Kindness Doesn’t Cost

Kindness doesn’t cost a cent – that’s my message to the world

It’s 12: 43 PM on day 2569 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  have breakfast, read 2 Peter 3:9,  and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet -raised $3 556 only $9 844 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot (thanks to everyone who has helped out so far) .

Today I made a birthday video for someone and although it didn’t cost me a cent it meant the world to him so often in life we bankrupt ourselves in an effort to express love when all people really want is a piece of our heart.

Day 2563: Tony Du Preez – An Everyday Hero

“Heroes are ordinary people who make themselves extraordinary.” – Gerard Way

It’s 11: 55  AM on day 2563 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  have breakfast, read  Psalm 16:11  and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – Yesterday  Anonymous donated $50 (thanks so much Anon) which brings the total raised to $3 531 only $9 8 969 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot .

This morning our helper, Amanda, was telling me about her friend Tony – an elderly gentlemen – who  gives her a lift to and from work ALMOST EVERY DAY expecting nothing in return (apparently she’s not the only one he does that for he does it for another guy too). WOW . If you live in East London (South Africa) and need a welder call Tony Du Preez Welding Works at 072 373 4051 (good people deserve good things to happen to them )

Day 2537: Wired For Kindness

Human beings are wired to be kind– that’s what I keep realizing.

It’s 10 : 23 AM on day 2537 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Isaiah 6: 3, have breakfast  and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – raised to $3 205 only $9 295 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot .

Recently I called someone to wish her a happy birthday and I think it made her day which made my day the whole day after that I was rolling on cloud nine I remember thinking with a smile in my heart I was kind today (we as humans are wired to be kind no amount of money or possessions in the world can give you the feeling you get when you make someone else feel like they matter).

Day 2525: Kindness is…

“Kindness is just love with work boots on.” – Britt Michaelian

It’s 2: 41  PM on day 2525 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Isaiah 33:2, go to church – this morning we attended a Syriac Orthodox Service – two and half hours long (without consuming any food so that we could be as pure as possible before communion) it was a nice service (we are Syriac Orthodox we just go to Methodist Church sometimes because Father S can only come to our town every 3 months) – and have lunch

Yesterday I came across a quote by Britt Michaelian that read kindness is just love with work boots on I loved that she’s absolutely right kindness is just love with work boots on….. kindness is love in action.

Day 2514: Be Kind Anyway

Being kind and courteous may lead to more trouble than there was originally but do so anyway – that’s my message to the world.

It’s 1 : 48 PM on day 2514 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  have breakfast, read Luke 18:42-43  and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – Yesterday  Katy Monnot donated $10 (thanks so much Katy) which brings the total raised to $2 565  only $9 935 more to raise  by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot.

Today I learned that being kind and courteous may lead to more trouble than there was originally but i have decided to do so anyway.

Day 2426: 4 Different Ways To Be Kind

There are different ways to be kind – that’s what I have realized.

It’s 10 : 25 AM on day 2426 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  have breakfast, read Nehemiah 1:5 and learn a new word – Odious (o·di·ous) adj. Extremely unpleasant; repulsive. Deserving of hatred or repugnance. “The detective said it was the most odious crime she had ever seen.”

Recently I realized that there are different ways to be kind kindness is not always donating money or even volunteering sometimes kindness is patience or giving a genuine compliment.

Day 2378: Beautiful Interruption

Be a beautiful interruption in someone’s day – that’s my message to the world.

It’s 12 : 40 PM on day 2378 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, have breakfast, read 2 Thessalonians 2:15   and learn a new word – Genteel (gen·teel) adj.  1. Refined in manner; well-bred and polite.  2. Free from vulgarity or rudeness.  3.Elegantly stylish: genteel manners and appearance.

Last year on a day when I was sick Catherine Constantinides called to check on me I was so touched by that (in that moment I knew how sick kids felt when Batman or Spiderman called) and ever since then at least once a month I call someone I love or someone who has helped me in some way just to hi or thank you I’ve spoken to people from all walks of life and it was interesting to note their similar reactions to my phone calls all of them were so touched that I called I think because my phone call was proof that they mattered to someone. Be a beautiful interruption in someone’s day make a call just to say hi or thank you.

Day 2374: The Bi-Products of Kindness

The good we try to do somehow always always comes back to us– that’s what I’ve realized

It’s 10 : 35 AM on day 2374 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, have breakfast, read 2 Corinthians 4:6, make birthday videos for people – i make a huge deal of everyone’s birthday everyone just wants to know they matter and they do if only to God, me and their families – and learn a new word  – Nexus (nex·us) n.  A means of connection; a link or tie: “The nexus between the mob and gambling.”  2. A connected series or group.  3. The core or center.

Yesterday I had any epiphany and that was that every good thing that has happened to me so far has been a bi-product of me trying to do something good or kind for others without expecting anything in return.
