Day 2083: “Gary Vaynerchuk’s Top 10 Rules For Success”

“I attract a crowd, not because I’m an extrovert or I’m over the top or I’m oozing with charisma. It’s because I care.” – Gary Vaynerchuk

It’s 12 : 30  PM on day 2083 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Mark 12: 41-44, have breakfast, learn one new thing – In the wild, giraffes almost never lie down because of vulnerability to predators. They usually sleep standing, sometimes sitting, and they give birth standing up. When giraffes sleep, they curl their necks and sleep for about five minutes at a time, sleeping no more than 30 minutes a day. – and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign   – raised $5 774 only $476 more to raise before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far 🙂 ).

Yesterday I watched “Gary Vaynerchuk’s Top 10 Rules For Success” the way Gary says things is so funny but every single thing he says is true. Watch “Gary Vaynerchuk’s Top 10 Rules For Success” below:

Day 2081: “Clarity” by Zedd ft. Foxes

It’s 12 :10  PM on day 2081 of my journey towards independence and I managed to  pray, read Proverbs 13: 3, learn one new thing – The Hundred Schools of Thought were philosophers and schools that flourished from the 6th century to 221 BC, during the Spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period of ancient China. – have breakfast and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign   – raised $5 774 only $476 more to raise before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far 🙂 ).

Day 2080: 5 Facts about Africa on Africa Day

“I dream of the realization of the unity of Africa, whereby its leaders combine in their efforts to solve the problems of this continent. I dream of our vast deserts, of our forests, of all our great wildernesses.” -Nelson Mandela

It’s 12 : 08  PM on day 2080 of my journey towards independence and I managed to have breakfast, pray, read Proverbs 13: 20, learn one new thing – Arabic is spoken by 170 million people on the continent [Africa], followed in popularity by English (130 million), Swahili (100), French (115), Berber (50), Hausa (50), Portuguese (20) and Spanish (10). – and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign   – raised $5 774 only $476 more to raise before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far 🙂 ).

Today is Africa Day and in honour of that I have compiled a few facts about this beautiful continent that I’m honoured to call my home. Take a look:

5 Facts about Africa

1. There are 55 countries in Africa (including the Western Sahara [just because Morocco says it’s not a country doesn’t make it less of a country]).

2. [The] African continent is the world’s oldest populated area.

3. The Pharaonic civilization of ancient Egypt is one of the world’s oldest and longest-lasting civilizations.

4. Arabic is spoken by 170 million people on the continent, followed in popularity by English (130 million), Swahili (100), French (115), Berber (50), Hausa (50), Portuguese (20) and Spanish (10).

5. Africa has eight of the 11 major biomes and the largest-remaining populations of lion, elephant, rhinoceros, cheetah, hyena, leopard and hundreds of other species.

(Note: Facts 2-5 are from voices.nationalgeographic.com/2013/10/31/getting-to-know-africa-50-facts/ )

Day 2079: The Trust in Me

To be trusted is the greatest compliment of all – that’s what I’ve realized.

It’s 12 : 11  PM on day 2079 of my journey towards independence and I managed to have breakfast, pray, read Proverbs 13: 11, learn one new thing – The process from egg to butterfly is weather dependent and also depends on the regional climate. It can take about four weeks in the peak of the summer in warmer climates. The egg takes 5 to 10 days, the larva/caterpillar and pupa/chrysalis each take about 10 to 14 days. – and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign   – raised $5 774 only $476 more to raise before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far 🙂 ).

Today I realized that to be trusted is the greatest compliment of all I’m so humbled and honoured that there are people in this life who trust me to do the right thing and be a good person.

Day 2078: Teaching Children the Right Ways in Life

Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.

– Proverbs 22: 6

It’s 12 : 42  PM on day 2078 of my journey towards independence and I managed to have breakfast, pray, read Proverbs 23: 14, learn one new thing – There are approximately 6,900 distinct languages in existence today, though there may be languages spoken in remote areas that we have yet to discover. No matter how many new languages we find, though, this number will be much lower in 100 years.– and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign   – raised $5 774 only $476 more to raise before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far 🙂 ).

This morning my brother stood in the middle of our sitting room with his back to me I watched him trying to figure out what he was doing after a while he made a cross in that moment I realized he was praying of his own accord before he left for school I was SO PROUD just goes to show if you tell kids to do something for long enough eventually they’ll do it of their own accord.

Day 2077: Stick to You

Know who you are and stick to it – that’s my message to the world.

It’s 12 : 30  PM on day 2077 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Matthew 23: 12, have breakfast, learn one new thing – Most Caucasian babies are born with dark blue eyes and their true eye colour — be it brown, green, hazel or blue — may not reveal itself for a few months. The colour of your baby’s eyes in the first minutes after birth won’t last — exposure to light changes a baby’s initial eye colour. – and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign   – raised $5 774 only $476 more to raise before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far 🙂 )

Today I realized yet again that no matter what people say about me (good, bad or indifferent) my opinion of myself will never change I believe it’s important to have a consistent opinion of oneself in a world where people’s opinions about you change at the drop of a hat.

Day 2076: Blessings and Lessons

Some people come into your life as blessings while others come into your life as lessons – that’s what I’ve realized.

It’s 12 : 23  PM on day 2076 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Ecclesiastes 3 1-8,  learn one new thing – Salting, especially of meat, is an ancient preservation technique. The salt draws out moisture and creates an environment inhospitable to bacteria. If salted in cold weather (so that the meat does not spoil while the salt has time to take effect), salted meat can last for years. – have breakfast and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign   – raised $5 774 only $476 more to raise before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far 🙂 ).

Today I realized that some people come into your life as blessings while others come into your life as lessons and not everyone who is in your life now is meant to stay forever.

Day 2074: Good Days

Every day that you are alive is a good day – that’s my message to the world.

It’s 12 : 30  PM on day 2074 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Romans 12: 9-21, have breakfast, learn one new thing – Apollo missions took about three days to reach the moon. But the quickest trip to the moon was the New Horizons probe, which zipped past the moon in just 8 hours 35 minutes on its way to Pluto. However, the spacecraft didn’t even slow down or approach lunar orbit.– and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign   – raised $5 749 only $501 more to raise before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far 🙂 ).

This morning I found myself thinking I was having a bad day then it occurred to me that every day that I am alive is a good day which is true every day is a gift and should be celebrated.

“When your values are clear to you, making decisions becomes easier.” – Roy E. Disney

It’s 12 : 13  AM on day 2073 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Proverbs 12:1, have breakfast, learn one new thing – Fireflies light up to attract a mate. To do this, the fireflies contain specialized cells in their abdomen that make light. The cells contain a chemical called luciferin and make an enzyme called luciferase. To make light, the luciferin combines with oxygen to form an inactive molecule called oxyluciferin.– and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign   – raised $5 749 only $501 more to raise before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far  🙂 ).

The very first words

I choose you
I choose you

Sara Bareilles, “I Choose You”

It’s 12 : 08  AM on day 2072 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, have breakfast, learn one new thing –One of these odors, called “petrichor,” lingers when rain falls after a prolonged dry spell. Petrichor — the term was coined in 1964 by two Australian scientists studying the smells of wet weather — is derived from a pair of chemical reactions.– and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign   – raised $5 749 only $501 more to raise before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far 🙂)
