Day 2203: Giving Time

Your time is the best gift you can give people – that’s what I keep being reminded of.

It’s 10 : 25  AM on day 2203 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, have breakfast and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign    –raised $7 675 only  $4 825 more to raise to reach my second goal of raising $12 500 for Smile Train before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far ).

Today I was reminded that time is the best gift you can give people because when you give people your time you give them a chunk of your life you’ll never get back.

Day 2186:Put You First

Take care of yourself so you can be the best version of yourself for the world .– that’s my message to the world.

It’s 9 : 41  AM on day 2186 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, have breakfast, read Ecclesiastes 5:18   and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign    –    raised  $7 625 only  $4 875 more to raise to reach my second goal of raising $12 500 for Smile Train before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far ) ..

Today I realized yet again that it’s important to take care of yourself so you can be the best version of yourself for the world.

Day 2079: The Trust in Me

To be trusted is the greatest compliment of all – that’s what I’ve realized.

It’s 12 : 11  PM on day 2079 of my journey towards independence and I managed to have breakfast, pray, read Proverbs 13: 11, learn one new thing – The process from egg to butterfly is weather dependent and also depends on the regional climate. It can take about four weeks in the peak of the summer in warmer climates. The egg takes 5 to 10 days, the larva/caterpillar and pupa/chrysalis each take about 10 to 14 days. – and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign   – raised $5 774 only $476 more to raise before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far 🙂 ).

Today I realized that to be trusted is the greatest compliment of all I’m so humbled and honoured that there are people in this life who trust me to do the right thing and be a good person.

Day 2077: Stick to You

Know who you are and stick to it – that’s my message to the world.

It’s 12 : 30  PM on day 2077 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Matthew 23: 12, have breakfast, learn one new thing – Most Caucasian babies are born with dark blue eyes and their true eye colour — be it brown, green, hazel or blue — may not reveal itself for a few months. The colour of your baby’s eyes in the first minutes after birth won’t last — exposure to light changes a baby’s initial eye colour. – and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign   – raised $5 774 only $476 more to raise before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far 🙂 )

Today I realized yet again that no matter what people say about me (good, bad or indifferent) my opinion of myself will never change I believe it’s important to have a consistent opinion of oneself in a world where people’s opinions about you change at the drop of a hat.

Day 2071: Lift People Up

Lift people up– that’s my message to the world.

It’s 12 : 27 AM on day 2071 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, watch the Expresso Show –   Catherine Constantinides was a guest on the show (she is the only reason I watch anything these days (like no joke) – learn one new thing – There are about 169 volcanoes in the United States that scientists consider active. Most of these are located in Alaska, where eruptions occur virtually every year. Others are located throughout the west and in Hawaii .– have breakfast and work on my 25 Smiles Campaign – raised $5 749 only $501 more to raise before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far 🙂).

Today I realized yet again that there’s nothing better than lifting people up as we go through life it just feels good.

Day 2068: Change and Inspire Change in Others

You can’t change people you can change the way you treat them and hope that that inspires them to change the way they treat you – that’s what I realized today.

It’s 11 : 19  AM on day 2068 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Proverbs 7, have breakfast, learn one new thing –6 The 6-year-old child typically has a 2,600 word expressive vocabulary (words he or she says), and a receptive vocabulary (words he or she understands) of 20,000–24,000 words. 12 By the time a child is 12 years old, he/she will understand (have a receptive vocabulary) of about 50,000 words.– and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign   – raised $5 724 only $526 more to raise before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far 🙂)

Today I realized that you can’t change people you can change the way you treat them and hope that that inspires them to change the way they treat you so often in life we try to change people when we should be trying to change ourselves because truly the only person each of us will ever control is ourselves.

Day 2036: Give Peace

“Let us have peace.” –  Ulysses S. Grant

It’s 12 : 20 PM on day 2036 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Revelation 13,  learn one new thing – On land the mammal with the most teeth is the Giant Armadillo, which can as many 100 teeth in its jaws. In the oceans the Spinner Dolphin can have as many as 252 teeth in its long thin jaws.  –have breakfast and work on my 25 Smiles Campaign –raised $5 356  only $894  more to raise by 10 Jan 2017  (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far :)  ).

Yesterday we – my family and I – attended a church service conducted by an Indian priest and much like in the Catholic church towards the end of the service we gave each other peace I wonder what would happen if we had inner-peace and gave it to those who didn’t in our daily lives (maybe not by going to each person and offering them peace as you would in a church but by simply being peaceful) I think the world would be a more peaceful place. Give peace to others by simply being peaceful.

Day 2022: The most important things

The most important things are not things they’re people – that’s what I keep realizing.

It’s 2 : 07  PM on day 2022 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read 3 John 1,  have breakfast, learn one new thing –The Hunchback of Notre-Dame (French: Notre-Dame de Paris) is a French Romantic/Gothic novel by Victor Hugo published in 1831. The title refers to the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, on which the story is centered.– hang out with my sister, spent time with our neighbor she came over to drop of a gift for my birthday and hang out (i didn’t have the heart to tell her i was forgoing gifts) –   have breakfast, go drop my sister at the airport and work on my 25 Smiles Campaign – raised $3 822 only $2 428  more to raise by 10 Jan 2017  (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far :)  ).

Yesterday spending time with my family I realized yet again that the most important things are not things they’re people so often in life we get so caught up in the pursuit of money, possessions and success that we forget what’s really important.

Day 1957: Karma and Us

How people treat you is their karma how you treat them is yours – words I try to live by.

It’s 12 : 11 PM on day 1957 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Ephesians 4, learn one new thing –Jonas Salk. Jonas Edward Salk (October 28, 1914 – June 23, 1995) was an American medical researcher and virologist. He discovered and developed the first successful inactivated polio vaccine. He was born in New York City to Jewish parents.- have breakfast  and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign – yesterday Nancy donated $25 and today Rema aunty donated $25   (thanks SO MUCH  Nancy and Rema aunty  your ongoing  support means the world to me :) )  which brings my total raised to $1 170 only $5 080 more to raise by 10 Jan 2017  (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far :) ) .

A while ago I read something like how people treat you is their karma how you treat them is yours now every time I find myself in an unpleasant interaction with someone I try to remember those words it really helps me keep my self-control (that and bless those who curse you works really well).

Day 1956: Let people go

If people want to go you can’t make them stay and if they don’t want to go you can’t make them leave – that’s what I’ve realized recently.

It’s 11 : 38 AM on day 1956 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Ephesians 3, learn one new thing –Cashmere wool, usually simply known as cashmere, is a fiber obtained from Cashmere goats and other types of goat. Common usage defines the fiber as a wool but in fact it is a hair, and this is what gives it its unique characteristics as compared to sheep’s wool.– have breakfast and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign – $1 120 raised so far so grateful :) .

Recently I’ve realized if people want to go you can’t make them stay and if they don’t want to go you can’t make them leave often in life we try to keep people in our lives who really don’t want to be there but the truth is if people want to leave you can’t build a wall high enough to make them stay and besides trust me if people don’t want to be in your life then you don’t want them in your life it’s a recipe for misery.
