Being emotionally attached to objects is a dangerous thing– that’s what I keep realizing.
It’s 11 : 17 AM on day 2655 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, have breakfast, read Luke 1:32-33 and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – raised $5 481 only $7 019 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot .
Today I was reminded that being emotionally attached to objects is a dangerous thing sometimes we love the things that people give us so much that we forget that love is not in the things people give us love is in the people who give us things.
People before things ALWAYS – that’s always my message to the world.
It’s 11 : 07 AM on day 2428 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, have breakfast, read Isaiah 26: 12 and learn a new word – Quixotic
adj. 1. Idealistic without regard to practicality; impractical. 2. Impulsive: tending to act on whims or impulses. “It was clearly a quixotic case against the defendant.”
This morning, like every other morning, I prayed and counted my blessings I noticed that on my gratitude list I always mention the people I am grateful for and health before I mention the things I am grateful for because I know that people and health, unlike things, are irreplaceable.
The most important things are not things they’re people – that’s what I keep realizing.
It’s 2 : 07 PM on day 2022 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read 3 John 1, have breakfast, learn one new thing –The Hunchback of Notre-Dame (French: Notre-Dame de Paris) is a French Romantic/Gothic novel by Victor Hugo published in 1831. The title refers to the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, on which the story is centered.– hang out with my sister, spent time with our neighbor she came over to drop of a gift for my birthday and hang out (i didn’t have the heart to tell her i was forgoing gifts) – have breakfast, go drop my sister at the airport and work on my 25 Smiles Campaign – raised $3 822 only $2 428 more to raise by 10 Jan 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far ).
Yesterday spending time with my family I realized yet again that the most important things are not things they’re people so often in life we get so caught up in the pursuit of money, possessions and success that we forget what’s really important.
