Day 3044: To err is human and to forgive (oneself and others) is divine

To err is human and to forgive (oneself and others) is divine    – that’s my message to the world

It’s 5: 00 PM on day 3044 since I started blogging and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse, spend time outside and do some work

Today I was reminded that everybody makes mistakes all we can do is learn from it, forgive ourselves and move on.

Day 2831: Mistakes and Me

Mistakes are proof you’re trying something new – that’s what I’ve realized.

It’s 1 :22 PM on day 2831 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse, have breakfast and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet –raised $14 669 only $4 081 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to reach my new goal of helping 75 kids with Clubfoot by June 17, 2018.

Today I tried something new and I made a giant-size mistake  but you know we live and we learn I’m trying to correct my mistake.

Day 2786: What Are Mistakes?

Mistakes are an opportunity to do things over and to do them right – that’s what I’ve realized

It’s 12 :  PM on day 2786 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Jeremiah 17:5, do some work, have breakfast and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet –  raised  $14 409 only $4 341 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to reach my new goal of helping 75 kids with Clubfoot by June 17, 2018.

Yesterday I was distracted and made a mistake which made me realize mistakes are an opportunity to do things over and to do them right.

Day 2769: To Be Devine and To Err

Try to be divine more than you err – that’s my message to the world.

It’s 11: 40 AM on day 2769 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Acts 2: 32-33,  have breakfast  and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – A HUGE thanks to Jackie & Ajay who donated $100 which brings the total raised to  $13 684 only $5 066 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to reach my new goal of helping 75 kids with Clubfoot by June 17, 2018.

This morning I was thinking about all the greats of history and it occurred to me that though all made mistakes they all did more good than bad and I hope to follow in their footsteps and be divine more times more than I err.

Day 2273: Mistakes – an opportunity to do better?

Mistakes are an opportunity to do better next time – that’s my message to the world.

It’s 11: 02 AM on day 2273 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray    and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign    –raised $9 161.04 only  $3 338.96 more to raise to reach my second goal of raising $12 500 for Smile Train before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far ).

Yesterday I was working on something and I didn’t save the document needless to say I was bummed to lose eleven pages of work but instead of dwelling on my mistake I choose to start again and if I do say so myself the second version of the document is way better than the first (mistakes teach us things that help us do better next time).

Day 1662: The internet, Trevor Noah and immortal mistakes

The internet immortalizes a human beings every mistake – that’s what I have realized.

It’s 12 : 00 PM on day 1662 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, pray,    read Ezekiel 22, publish my Disability of the Day feature,  feature, learn one new thing – Eating both plants and animals, meerkats are omnivores. Their diet mostly consists of insects, which they sniff out using their enhanced sense of smell. They also eat small rodents, fruit, birds, eggs, lizards, and even poisonous scorpions –   feed myself a peanut butter and banana sandwich  for breakfast and promote my Educate Generations campaign–  Simon Magid who has donated twice before donated $20 yesterday (thank you Simon you’re AWESOME 🙂 ) which brings my total raised to $2 578.

Recently South African comedian Trevor Noah became more famous than he already was when it was announced that he would be new host of The Daily Show and with his somewhat newfound fame came detractors who found some tasteless jokes that he tweeted a few years ago and proceeded to label him sexist and anti-semitic  which made me realize that whatever I post on the internet could have an impact on my life years down the line needless to say I am now infinitely more careful about what I post online.

Day 1560: 4 Things Bloggers Should Do

A mistake used as a teaching tool is an experience  – that’s what I keep realizing.

It’s 12 : 08 PM on day 1560 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray, brush my teeth, read Isaiah 45, publish my Disability of the Day feature,    publish my Kid of the Week feature, feed myself  a peanut butter sandwich and a banana for breakfast and  promote my Educate Generations campaign –  still on $1 190 and still praying some people have promised to donate for which I am very grateful (dear God please when you have a moment work through someone to help educate generations. Please and thank you in advance).

This morning I was thinking about the things that I wish someone had told me before I started blogging in 2010 and I wrote those things down in the hopes that it would help someone. Take a look:

4 Things Bloggers Should Do

  1. Own and manage your own domain name and hosting account – if someone else pays for and manages your domain name and hosting account they can pull the plug on your blog at any time.
  2. Be Consistent – if you can only blog once a week then blog once a week don’t blog once a week one week and five times a week the next week.
  3. Be honest and be yourself – when blogging it’s important to tell the truth about yourself and the things you notice around in a style that’s completely yours.
  4. Use your blog as a platform to help people – don’t use your blog to hurt those who hurt you rather use it to speak for the voiceless.

Day 1521: Mistakes, Learning and Growth

A mistake learned from is an experience – that’s what I realized today.

It’s 12 : 13 PM on day 1521 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, pray, read Isaiah 8,   publish my Disability of the Day feature, stretch my hamstrings, promote my Educate Generations campaign– I swear this morning I prayed for a donation then I logged on to my fundraising page to see that my friend, Susan Mazza, donated $50 – thank you SO MUCH Susan I really appreciate your support – prayer works people anyway Susan’s donation brings my total raised to $820 only $1 680 more to raise to reach goal 🙂 –  feed myself a peanut butter sandwich and a banana for breakfast  and continue promoting my campaign – still on $820 but the day is still young I’ll keep working on it winners never quit and quitters never win.

Today I realized a mistake learned from is an experience we as people are so afraid to make mistakes but if we don’t make mistakes we won’t grow or learn so from today onwards whenever I make a mistake I won’t beat myself up over it I will simply learn from it and move on. Do your mistakes become experiences because you choose to learn from them?

Day 1339: Making mistakes and moving on

We learn by making mistakes those who never make mistakes never learn – that’s what I realized yesterday.

It’s 12  : 15 PM on day 1339 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, pray,  read Psalm 26,   publish my Disability of the Day feature,     feed myself bran flakes for breakfast, watch My Last Days: Zach Sobiech, One Year Later – it’s basically a look at how Zach Sobiech’s loved ones are doing a year after his passing (Zach died of a rare form of cancer a year ago) knowing that even if I’m not in this world the world will still keep spinning keeps me humble life’s funny the world would still keep spinning without us but if each of us weren’t here there would be something missing from the world  – promote my Eradicate AIDS campaign – still on $802.85 so far today –   practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles and stretch my hamstrings.

Yesterday I was beating myself up over something I didn’t do but I later realized we learn by making mistakes those who never make mistakes never learn. Do you find it hard to forgive yourself for your mistakes?
