Day 1577: Realizing you know nothing

I know less than zero percent of what there is to know  – that’s what I keep realizing.

It’s 12 : 41 PM on day 1577 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth,  pray,  read Isaiah 62, publish my Disability of the Day feature,  feed myself egg curry with bread for breakfast, learn one new thing – did you know that some jellyfish are immortal. There are two phases to jelly life: the stationary polyp stage and the mobile medusa phase. It’s the medusa phase that we’re usually referring to when we talk about jellyfish. Typically, jellies start as polyps and develop into medusas, but the Turritopsis nutriculahas earned it the nickname “the immortal jellyfish” for having the ability to travel backward to the polyp stage in times of stress.– promote my Educate Generations campaign– still on $1 335 – and hang out with family.

A week ago I set my myself a goal to learn one new thing every day this year I’ve learned so much so far and realized that I know less than zero percent of what there is to know. Are you unable to learn anything because you think you know everything?

Day 1521: Mistakes, Learning and Growth

A mistake learned from is an experience – that’s what I realized today.

It’s 12 : 13 PM on day 1521 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, pray, read Isaiah 8,   publish my Disability of the Day feature, stretch my hamstrings, promote my Educate Generations campaign– I swear this morning I prayed for a donation then I logged on to my fundraising page to see that my friend, Susan Mazza, donated $50 – thank you SO MUCH Susan I really appreciate your support – prayer works people anyway Susan’s donation brings my total raised to $820 only $1 680 more to raise to reach goal 🙂 –  feed myself a peanut butter sandwich and a banana for breakfast  and continue promoting my campaign – still on $820 but the day is still young I’ll keep working on it winners never quit and quitters never win.

Today I realized a mistake learned from is an experience we as people are so afraid to make mistakes but if we don’t make mistakes we won’t grow or learn so from today onwards whenever I make a mistake I won’t beat myself up over it I will simply learn from it and move on. Do your mistakes become experiences because you choose to learn from them?

Day 1515: Leaping before you learn

Sometimes you’ve just got to take the leap and learn the ropes as you go along- that’s what I keep realizing 🙂

It’s 1 : 56 PM on day 1515 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, pray, read Isaiah 2, stretch my hamstrings,   publish my Disability of the Day feature, feed myself egg with bread and a banana for breakfast and promote my Educate Generations campaign –  still on $770.

Today I realized that sometimes you’ve just got to take the leap and learn the ropes as you go if we wait till we know everything to do anything then we’ll accomplish nothing. Do you leap first and learn the ropes later?

Day 1378: None of us know everything

None of us know everything we all learn as we go – that’s what I realized this morning.

It’s 1  : 14 PM on day 1378 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray,  brush my teeth, read Psalm 65,  publish my Disability of the Day feature,  publish my Kid of the Week feature, promote Eradicate AIDS campaign – no donations so so far today but my friend who prefers to remain anonymous  donated $10 yesterday (thank you so much Anonymous ) which brings my total raised to $885.54 only $114.60 more to raise –    feed myself a chicken wrap  for breakfast and watch some videos as part of How to change the World course.

This morning I was so worried about my lack of essay writing skills until I realized none of us know everything we all learn as we go. Are you one of those people who can’t learn anything because you think you know everything?

Day 1271: Learning lessons through experience

Some lessons can’t be taught you have to learn them for yourself– that’s what I realized yesterday.

It’s 12  : 15 PM on day 1271 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to  brush my teeth,  pray, read Job 5, publish my Disability of the Day feature, feed myself peanut butter and banana sandwiches for breakfast, promote my Eradicate AIDS campaign –12 days still no donation but I know God is working behind the scenes I just have to keep telling people about this campaign and be patient – make sandwiches for our sisi’s (that’s what we call our housekeeper because sisi  in Xhosa means sister) neighborhood with sisi’s help,  practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles and stretch my hamstrings.

Yesterday something happened that made me realize some lessons can’t be taught you have to learn them for yourself. Are there some lessons that you just had to learn for yourself?
