Day 2317: A Simple Exercise For Goal-Achievement

“Lack of direction, not lack of time, is the problem. We all have twenty-four hour days.” – Zig Ziglar

It’s 11: 53 AM on day 2317 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, have breakfast,  read Psalm 46:1-3  and work on a few of my 2017 Goals (can’t go into details till everything is fully finalized but i can say i’m so very excited about things to come).

Recently I’ve started writing down my daily goals and posting it on my social media accounts I check on my goals occasionally throughout the day and by the end of the day I find that I’ve achieved most, if not all, of my goals for that day it’s a simple exercise that has made a big difference in my life.

Day 2283: Goals and Priorities

Anything that I put my time and energy into will get done – that’s what I’ve realized.

It’s 11: 30 AM on day 2283 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Malachi 3:1, have breakfast and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign    –raised $9 261.04 only  $3 238.96 more to raise to reach my second goal of raising $12 500 for Smile Train before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far ).

This morning thinking about the rapid progress of my book I realized that anything that I put my time and energy into will get done (if you’re not accomplishing your goals it’s because it’s not a priority).

Day 2262: Just Keep Moving

Sometimes in life we’ve just got to keep moving– that’s what I’ve realized.

It’s 11 :  39 AM on day 2262 of my journey towards independence and I managed to  pray,  have breakfast, read Ephesians 1:15-16  and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign    –   Beverly Bernhardt donated $50 (thanks SO MUCH Bev) which brings the total  raised to $9161.04 only  $3 338.96 more to raise to reach my second goal of raising $12 500 for Smile Train before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far ).

This morning I realized that sometimes in life we’ve just got to keep moving even when it hurts and even when you  feel like staying in bed would be the classy thing to do just get up and keep moving towards your goals.

Day 2060: Goals and Who You Become to Achieve Them

Who you become to achieve a goal is equally as important as achieving said goal – that’s what I have realized.

It’s 12: 15 PM on day 2060 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Romans 12, have breakfast, learn one new thing – First man in space. On 12 April 1961 Russian cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin became the first human in space when he orbited the Earth once during a 108 minute flight. In 1960 Gagarin, a fighter pilot, was shortlisted for the Vostok 1 programme, which built on the success of Sputnik 1 just three years earlier. –  and work on my 25 Smiles Campaign  – Bruce Sallan donated $34 (thank you so much Bruce your ongoing support means a lot 🙂 )  which brings the total raised to $5 674 only $576 more to raise before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far 🙂).

Today I realized that who you become to achieve a goal is equally as important as achieving said goal there was a time when I used to be petrified of speaking in front of the camera (I was worried that people wouldn’t understand what I was trying to say) but for a cause greater than myself I forced myself to get over it and after the first time I realized there was nothing to be afraid of now I routinely record videos and publish them on my YouTube channel.

Day 2011: The “How” Also Matters

How you choose to do things matters just as much as what you do– that’s my message to the world.

It’s 12 : 49 PM on day 2011 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read 1 Peter 4, have breakfast,  learn one new thing –The tides are due to the gravitational pull of the Moon and the Sun on the Earth. Because the gravitational force decreases as the distance squared, the part of the Earth that is closer to the Moon or the Sun is pulled a little extra and a bulge is created.– spend time outside -it’s such a beautiful day I feel blessed to be alive to see it -and work on my 25 Smiles Campaign – raised $3 337 only $2 913 more to raise by 10 Jan 2017  (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far :)  ).

Yesterday I wanted to do something and I knew of an easy way to do it but if I chose to do it that way I would have been using someone I care very deeply about so I chose not to do it that way because I believe how you choose to do things matters just as much as what you do I’m going to achieve all my goals but I’m determined to do it without lying, cheating, stealing or using anyone.

Day 1606: Chill out

I need to chill out – that’s what I realized today.

It’s 12 :  49 PM on day 1606 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth,  pray,  read Jeremiah 23, publish my Disability of the Day feature,  learn one new thing – The first Ferris wheel was built by a man named George Ferris in 1893 for the Chicago World’s Fair, also known as the Columbian Exposition. It was intended to upstage the Eiffel Tower (the main attraction from the 1889 Paris Exhibition). The original Ferris Wheel was 264 feet tall and carried 2,160 people in 36 cars –    promote my Educate Generations campaign– $1 750 raised so far so grateful -feed myself a peanut butter sandwich  and a banana for breakfast and continue promoting the campaign – Beverly Bernhardt donated $20 (thanks SO MUCH Beverly) only $730 more to raise 🙂

Today I realized that I need to chill out my mom teasingly calls me grandma because I act twice my age most of the time I know I need to laugh more and have more fun but I can’t seem to find the time to do that and accomplish all my goals.

Day 1563: Halfway to Educate Generations Campaign Goal

“Set your goals high, and don’t stop till you get there.” – Bo Jackson

It’s 12 : 00 PM on day 1563 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray, brush my teeth,  read Isaiah 48,   publish my Disability of the Day feature, promote my Educate Generations campaign– Anonymous donated $20 yesterday and Catherine Cook who has donated twice before donated $20 today  (thank you Anonymous and Catherine your ongoing support means a lot to me 🙂  – which brings my total raised to $1 255  only $1 245 more to raise to reach goal -feed myself a peanut butter sandwich and a banana for breakfast, continue promoting the campaign-still on $1 255 but I’m grateful 🙂 – and hang out with family.

Today is twice as awesome first because it’s Christmas Eve and second because as of today I’m more than halfway to my Educate Generations campaign goal I’m so grateful to everyone who has donated to and supported this campaign so far. Merry Christmas Eve everyone 🙂

[Update October 3 2015: Campaign over. Final total raised is $5 285]

Day 1482: Hard Work Above All

Hard work trumps everything else – that’s what I keep realizing.

It’s 1 : 35 PM on day 1482 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray, brush my teeth, read Proverbs 20, publish my Disability of the Day feature,  feed myself bread with egg with bread for breakfast and promote my Educate Generations campaign – still on $100 but lots of people promised to donate which is great 🙂

Today it dawned on me again that hard work trumps everything else it doesn’t matter how much talent you have your talent won’t work unless you do, it doesn’t matter how much charm you have your charm won’t work unless you do, it doesn’t matter how much money you have your money won’t work unless you do…what matters most is how hard you work so I’m going to work hard at all my goals knowing that I will eventually succeed.

Day 1391: Eradicate AIDS goal surpassed thanks to God and all my friends

I have the best friends in the world– that’s what I keep realizing.

It’s 12  : 42 PM on day 1391 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to  promote my Eradicate AIDS campaign – Wayne Mansfield of the Jindalee Foundation donated $200 (thank you Wayne)  which brings my total raised to $1 070.84 I’m so grateful and happy to have surpassed my Eradicate AIDS goal with 13 days to go  I knew God wouldn’t let me fail (thank you to God and all my friends) : ) – brush my teeth, pray,  read Psalm 78 and publish my Disability of the Day feature.

Today thanks to the $200 donation made by Wayne Mansfield and the ongoing support of many of my other friends I surpassed my Eradicate AIDS goal by raising $1 070.84 for the Elton John Aids Foundation (UK).  Thank you so much to everyone who has supported my Eradicate AIDS campaign so far  (the page will remain open until 18 July so those of you who want to donate still can) if I am great it’s only because I’m standing on the shoulders of giants.
