Day 2155: Happy 16th Birthday Baby Bro

It’s 2 : 23  PM on day 2155 of my journey towards independence and I managed to have breakfast, go to the doctor  and and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign   –  Paul and Juliet Merrell of Big Planet Radio donated $50    (thanks SO MUCH  Paul and Juliet)  which brings the total  raised to $7 175 only  $5 325 more to raise to reach my second goal of raising $12 500 for Smile Train before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far 🙂 ) .

 

Today is my brother’s 16th birthday and in honour of that I wrote down sixteen life lessons for him and everybody else (not that I know much about life). Take a look:

Day 2153: In Bed

It’s 11 : 52  AM on day 2153 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read,  have breakfast, pray, read Mark 11:25,  and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign    –   raised $7 125 only  $5 375 more to raise to reach my second goal of raising $12 500 for Smile Train before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far ) .

 

Today I’ve opted to stay in bed to prevent my foot infection from getting worse it’s not the best situation but I choose to see it as an opportunity to rest

Day 2152: Promote What You Love

Promote what you love instead of bashing what you hate – that’s what I wish the world would do.

Recently with the elections in the U.S. taking stage I’ve noticed people bashing Trump I wish they would just promote Hillary instead (if they do support Hilary).

 

Day 2150: Go vote South Africa

With rights come responsibilities – that’s my message to South Africa and the world.

 

It’s 12 : 39  PM on day 2150 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Luke 18: 42-43,  have breakfast, go and vote – the IEC were extremely efficient I didn’t even have to wait in line –      and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign    –   raised $7 125 only  $5 375 more to raise to reach my second goal of raising $12 500 for Smile Train before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far   ) .

 

Today is the day of the Municipal Elections here is South Africa and so I urge everyone registered to vote to go and do exactly that because with rights come responsibilities.

Day 2149: Life goes on

Life goes on no matter what so we must go on with life no matter what– that’s what I realized today.

 

It’s 11 : 19  AM on day 2149 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Luke 18: 42-43,  have breakfast, pray, read, learn one new thing – The Nobel Prize and Prize in Economic Sciences have been awarded to women 47 times between 1901 and 2014. Only one woman, Marie Curie, has been honoured twice, with the 1903 Nobel Prize in Physics and the 1911 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.-     and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign    –   raised $7 125 only  $5 375 more to raise to reach my second goal of raising $12 500 for Smile Train before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far ) .

 

Today it dawned on me that no matter what’s going on in my life the sun will rise and the world will go on it’s a harsh reality but reality nonetheless and since life will go on no matter what I’m choosing to go on with life no matter what.

Day 2148: Whatever Will Be

Whatever’s meant to happen will happen there’s no use stressing about it – that’s what I realized today.

 

It’s 11 : 07  AM on day 2148 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read 1 Peter 2:24,  have breakfast, pray, read, learn one new thing – The islands are located in the eastern Pacific Ocean, 973 km (525 nmi; 605 mi) off the west coast of South America. The closest land mass is that of mainland Ecuador, the country to which they belong, 926 km/500 nmi to the east. –     and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign    –   raised $7 125 only  $5 375 more to raise to reach my second goal of raising $12 500 for Smile Train before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far   ) .

 

Today I realized that whatever’s meant to happen (good or bad) will happen there’s no use stressing about it.

It’s 12 : 25  PM on day 2147 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Matthew 9:22,  have breakfast, pray, read, learn one new thing – Wiley Hardeman Post (November 22, 1898 – August 15, 1935) was a famed American aviator during the period known as the Golden Age of Aviation, the first pilot to fly solo around the world. –     and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign    –   raised $7 125 only  $5 375 more to raise to reach my second goal of raising $12 500 for Smile Train before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far   🙂 ) .

Day 2146: Age, Wisdom and a Little Boy Named Grant

Age and wisdom don’t necessarily have anything to do with each other – that’s what I keep realizing.

 

It’s 1 : 28  PM on day 2146 of my journey towards independence and I managed to have breakfast, pray, read Isaiah 53:4-5, go to the doctor – nothing major I will survive – hang out with family   and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign    –   raised $7 125 only  $5 375 more to raise to reach my second goal of raising $12 500 for Smile Train before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far 🙂  ) .

Day 2145: I Embrace and Enjoy Weakness

It’s 8 :  30 AM on day 2145 of my journey towards independence and I managed to have breakfast, pray, read James 5:14, learn one new thing –THE DIVISION of the hour into 60 minutes and of the minute into 60 seconds comes from the Babylonians who used a sexagesimal (counting in 60s) system for mathematics and astronomy. They derived their number system from the Sumerians who were using it as early as 3500 BC.-     and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign    –   raised $7 125 only  $5 375 more to raise to reach my second goal of raising $12 500 for Smile Train before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far  🙂 ) .

 

Yesterday I wasn’t my best yet again but instead of fighting against my weakness I sort of embraced and enjoyed it because God is at His strongest when I’m at my weakest.
