Day 2362: “Save Myself” by Ed Sheeran

So before I save someone else, I’ve got to save myself
And before I blame someone else, I’ve got to save myself
And before I love someone else, I’ve got to love myself

Ed Sheeran, “Save Myself”

It’s 11 : 02 AM on day 2362 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, have breakfast, read Ecclesiastes 5:2 and learn a new word – Definitions for hydra 1. a persistent or many-sided problem that presents new obstacles as soon as one aspect is solved.

This morning I heard “Save Myself” by Ed Sheeran and I was speechless for a while because we’ve all brunt ourselves up to keep other people warm only to realize that they wouldn’t even jump over a puddle for us. Listen to “Save Myself” by Ed Sheeran below:

Day 2350: “Castle on the Hill” by Ed Sheeran

One friend left to sell clothes
One works down by the coast
One had two kids but lives alone
One’s brother overdosed
One’s already on his second wife
One’s just barely getting by
But these people raised me
And I can’t wait to go home

Day 2147: “I’m a Mess” by Ed Sheeran

Ooh I’m a mess right now
Inside out
Searching for a sweet surrender
But this is not the end

I can’t work it out
How?
Going through the motions
Going through us

And though I’ve known it for the longest time
And all my hope
All my words are all over written on the signs
But you’re my road walking me home
Home, home, home, home

Ed Sheeran, “I’m a Mess”

It’s 12 : 25  PM on day 2147 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Matthew 9:22,  have breakfast, pray, read, learn one new thing – Wiley Hardeman Post (November 22, 1898 – August 15, 1935) was a famed American aviator during the period known as the Golden Age of Aviation, the first pilot to fly solo around the world. –     and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign    –   raised $7 125 only  $5 375 more to raise to reach my second goal of raising $12 500 for Smile Train before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far   🙂 ) .

Recently I heard “I’m a Mess” by Ed Sheeran there’s something about somebody admitting what a mess they are that’s very endearing. Listen to “I’m a Mess” by Ed Sheeran below:

Day 1585: “Afire Love” by Ed Sheeran

Things were all good yesterday
And then the devil took your memory
And if you fell to your death today
I hope that heaven is your resting place
I heard the doctors put your chest in pain
But then that could’ve been the medicine
And now you’re lying in the bed again
Either way I’ll cry with the rest of them

Ed Sheeran, “Afire Love”
