It’s 12 : 15 PM on day 2866 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse, do some work and spend time outside – it’s such a beautiful day outside i’m so grateful to be alive to see it
A while ago I watched “Kids Meet A Little Person” I love both the adult and children in this video but most of all I love that the Kids Meet series is teaching people, in an entertaining way, that different is cool and that there’s beauty in diversity. Watch “Kids Meet A Little Person” below:
Do the little things that make you happy it really makes a big difference– that’s my message to the world.
It’s 12 : 30 PM on day 2610 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Psalm 85:8, and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – A HUGE thanks to the Jindalee Foundation who donated $100 yesterday which brings the total raised to $4 488 only $8 012 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to help 50 kids with clubfoot.
Today in the middle of doing everything I just stopped to stare at our Jacaranda tree full of purple flowers and in that moment I was reminded that though there is immense pain in this world there is also immense beauty. If you look around and can’t find the beauty in life then be the beauty in life by showing up and being kinder than necessary.
Learn to live in a vain world without feeling the need to change yourself – that’s my message to the world.
It’s 11: 04 AM on day 2304 of my journey towards independence and I managed to -pray, read Colossians 3:9-10 and work on my 25 Smiles Campaign – Ashwell Gleason donated $5 (thanks Aswell 🙂 ) which brings the total raised to $9 655.04 only $2 844.96 more to raise to reach my second goal of raising $12 500 for Smile Train before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far ).
Recently I went to an event and this lovely woman approaches us (me and my family) looks at me and asks my mom what’s wrong with her face (I have a few moles and blackheads) I was shocked by the bluntness of the question but I won’t suddenly start wearing make-up to look flawless because some people have a problem with the way I actually look I’m human and imperfect I refuse to put a mask on for the world I’d rather have a flawless heart, a flawless spirit and a flawless soul than a flawless face. Take me or leave me but world I refuse to let you change me.
There’s beauty in imperfection and challenge – that’s what I realized yesterday.
It’s 9 : 58 AM on day 2211 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Proverbs 17: 17 , have breakfast and work on my 25 Smiles Campaign –raised $7 675 only $4 825 more to raise to reach my second goal of raising $12 500 for Smile Train before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far ).
Yesterday it occurred to me that my life is beautiful precisely because it’s so imperfect and challenging I notice and appreciate things that most people may not.

Yesterday I watched “Dove Choose Beautiful” – a campaign in which Dove put up signs that read “beautiful” and “average” above the entryways of shopping centres in five cities, San Francisco, Shanghai, Delhi, London and Sao Paulo, and watched as women contemplated about which door to enter – I was so touched by the campaign whoever comes up with ideas for Dove’s ad campaigns should receive some sort of award. Watch How Do YOU Define Yourself by Lizzie Velasquez below:
Girls, embrace your flaws. Don’t compare or compete with others. What makes you different, makes you beautiful. Don’t let the crowd’s standards define you. You’re beautiful in your way.~ Mae Claire Dogillo

Yesterday I saw a video of girls asking the YouTube community if they are pretty or not I was heartbroken we must be doing something really wrong as a society if girls have to go to cyberspace to hear that they are pretty.
The kind of beauty you see in magazines is nothing but an illusion – that’s what I want young girls to know.
