Day 2929: #DifferentIsCOOL

#DifferentIsCOOL

Different is COOL – that’s my life’s message

It’s 1 : 09 PM on day 2929 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read a Bible verse and do some work

Yesterday I launched #DifferentIsCOOL – a campaign aiming to promote the idea that different is COOL and that there’s strength and beauty in diversity – to participate use #DifferentIsCOOL and tweet or Facebook me a picture or video stating what makes you different and how it adds value to the world.

Day 1938: Ability Level and Personality

My ability level and my personality don’t match – that’s what I keep realizing.

It’s 12: 53 PM on day 1938 of my journey towards independence prayed, read 2 Corinthians 4 listened to music, learned one new thing -The tallest U.S. Presidents were Abraham Lincoln and Lyndon B. Johnson at 6 ft 4 in (193 cm), while the shortest was James Madison at 5 ft 4 in (163 cm). The average height of a US president has been 5 ft 10.7 inches and 5 ft 11.6 inches since 1900.- and spent time with family

Today I found myself wanting to do adventure sports I’m quite an adventurous person but because I have Cerebral Palsy it’s hard for me to express it there’s a mismatch between my ability level and personality.

Day 1281: Ability is in the eye of the beholder

Ability is in the eye of the beholder– that’s what I keep realizing.

It’s 12  : 02  PM on day 1281 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to  pray,   brush my teeth, read Job 15,  feed myself egg with bread for breakfast, publish my Disability of the Day feature   and  promote my Eradicate AIDS campaign – no donations so far today  but I KNOW I won’t fail God is with me who or what shall be against me.

This morning I realized yet again that ability is in the eye of the beholder some people see all that I can’t do I see all that I can do perception is reality and I perceive myself to be abled by all the things I can do rather than disabled by the few things I can’t do. When you look at a differently-abled person do you see ability or disability?
