Day 1571: 2015 To-Do List

“Make New Year’s goals. Dig within, and discover what you would like to have happen in your life this year. This helps you do your part. It is an affirmation that you’re interested in fully living life in the year to come.” – Melody Beattie

It’s 12 : 21 PM on day 1571 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to  brush my teeth,  pray,  read Isaiah 56, publish my Disability of the Day feature, feed myself chicken curry with bread  for breakfast, promote my Educate Generations campaign– still on $1 315 – and hang out with people.

Today marks the first day of the year and in honour of that I took the liberty of writing down some of my goals for 2015. Take a look:

2015 To-Do List

  1. Raise $2 500+ for the Malala Fund through my Educate Generations campaign  (done [raised $5 307])
  2. Be respectful, kind, honest and generous (doing it (I hope))
  3. Learn one new thing every day (doing it)
  4. Continue trying to finish reading The Bible (doing it)
  5. Continue to make sandwiches for sisi’s (our housekeeper’s) neighbourhood as part of  Virginia’s Sandwich Run (did it for the last time in 2015 last week as we are going on vacation next week)
  6. Read 5+ books (done (have  read 11 books so far)
  7.  Self-publish my book Life: My thoughts on everything from faith to beauty  (haven’t even tried to)
  8. Support myself financially through this blog (trying to [see Paypal ‘Donate’ button in right sidebar])
  9. Learn to fully undress and redress myself (i have people to help me which makes me lazy have to restart learning how to do it)
  10. Learn to help myself in the bathroom ( again i have people to help me which makes me lazy have to start learning how to do it)

(Note: Progress updates were made on 24 November 2015)
