Day 1572: Grace, Politeness and Cerebral Palsy

Grace and politeness – those are just two of the things that having Cerebral Palsy has taught me.

It’s 11 : 32 AM on day 1572 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to  brush my teeth,  pray,  read Isaiah 57, publish my Disability of the Day feature, promote my Educate Generations campaign–  on $1 315 – learn one new thing – did you know that the Earth’s rotation is gradually slowing at approximately 17 milliseconds per 100 years – feed myself chicken and veggie wraps for breakfast and continue promoting my Educate Generations campaign – still on $1 315 but I’m still grateful 🙂

Recently I was at the mall shopping with my sister and cousin and this lovely gentleman came up right beside us and said to me repeatedly God bless you to which I said thank you repeatedly stuff like that happens to me all the time so when I’m out in public I can’t have a bad day people don’t have to come up and say nice things to me they choose to do that I will always appreciate that even though I sometimes want to be an ordinary 23-year-old out shopping with her family.

I’m smiling with this thought. If the ordinary 23-year old had strangers blessing them every time they go out into the public, the world would be a much, much better place.
