Day 1409: The 7 Words My Brother Uttered That Moved Me

“Don’t forget, a person’s greatest emotional need is to feel appreciated.” ― H. Jackson Brown Jr.Life’s Little Instruction Book: 511 Suggestions, Observations, and Reminders on How to Live a Happy and Rewarding Life

It’s 12  : 33 PM on day 1409 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray,  brush my teeth, feed myself bran flakes  for breakfast, read Psalm 96,  publish my Disability of the Day feature, practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles and stretch my hamstrings.

Last night my thirteen-year-old brother saw me preparing for my upcoming campaign and he said something along the lines of you work harder than mommy and daddy I was so moved that he noticed all the effort that I was putting in to help others usually even the people who love me more than life itself introduce me by saying this is Nisha she does things on the computer and because I know how it would sound if I said actually I blog and raise money for different charities I don’t correct them. Do you appreciate the things that people in your life do?
