Day 1410: Too Young to Wed

Good intentions don’t always lead to positive actions– that’s what I realized two days ago.

 

It’s 12  : 17 PM on day 1410 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, pray, read Psalm 97,  publish my Disability of the Day feature, feed myself a peanut butter sandwich and a banana for breakfast, practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles, stretch my hamstrings, listen to music – I love Hunter Hayes it’s not easy to open your heart and write honestly and yet he does it so beautifully – and do research for my upcoming campaign – doing good is so convenient these days with fundraising platforms and social media I don’t know why more people aren’t jumping at the chance to change  the world.

 

Two days ago I watched Too Young to Wed – a National Geographic presentation about child brides– what creeped me out about this presentation was seeing pictures of loving people carrying children to the alter believing that they are doing the right thing. Watch Too Young to Wed below:
