Day 1154: The link between appreciation and good relationships

Lack of appreciation can damage relationships beyond repair– that’s what I learned today.

It’s 1 : 33 PM on day 1154 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray,  brush my teeth,  feed myself Bran Flakes for breakfast,  read 2 Kings 12,    publish my Disability of the Day feature,  publish my Kid of the Week feature, go to church, register to vote in next year’s elections – I have a dirty little secret I’ve been eligible to vote in the last two elections and I didn’t vote (don’t judge) reading Conversations With Myself by Nelson Mandela made me realize how much people have sacrificed so that I can have the right to vote the registration process didn’t take that long and aside from needing my sister to help me sign my name at the bottom of the registration form everything went swimmingly  –  and go visit people.

Today something happened that made me realize lack of appreciation is the number one cause of the breakdown of relationships all people want to know is that you notice and appreciate what they do for you and when that doesn’t happen things don’t end well. Are you appreciative of the things people do for you?
