Day 2771: Always Be Grateful and Seldom Be Wasteful

Everything I’ve seen affects the way I live– that’s what I was reminded of today

It’s 11: 27 AM on day 2771 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Proverbs 9,  have breakfast  and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet – A HUGE thanks to Anonymous who donated $100 which brings the total raised to  $14 409 only $4 341 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to reach my new goal of helping 75 kids with Clubfoot by June 17, 2018.

This morning as I struggled to finish my breakfast I remembered my brief time in the township (shanty town) and seeing how the majority in my country live and I found myself trying to finish my plate (the things I have seen and the experiences I’ve had have taught me to always be grateful and seldom be wasteful).

Day 1114: Wastefulness

And when they had eaten their fill, he told his disciples, “Gather up the leftover fragments, that nothing may be lost.” – John 6:12

It’s 1 : 03  PM on day 1114 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth,  pray,  feed myself boiled egg and All Bran Flakes for breakfast, read 2 Samuel 14,    publish my Disability of the Day feature,  tweet and Facebook about my campaign – nobody donated so  far today either 14 days to go I’ve surpassed my goal but I want to raise as much money as possible for the Not For Sale Campaign they do such great work it’s the least I can do  – take off my dirty jacket and top and put on a clean t-shirt  – I learn some of the most valuable life lessons from doing simple things I usually take my t-shirt off by pushing my right hand out through the sleeve then I would get my head out then I would pull the t-shirt off over my left shoulder  but today because I was wearing an Indian top it didn’t work so I pulled the right sleeve over my right elbow and did it that way in life we often do something one way and fail but there’s more than one way to do something and if we don’t give up we will eventually find it 🙂 –  stretch my hamstrings and  practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles.

Yesterday afternoon I was thinking about how wasteful we are as people we waste food, we waste water, we waste money, we waste time there are people out there who pray for the things we throw away without a second thought it makes me so sad. Do you waste everything you have thinking there’s more where that came from?
