Day 391

Always keep your eyes on the bigger picture– that’s what I learned today 🙂

It’s 7: 35 PM on day 391 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed  to watch The Rugby World Cup match: South Africa vs. Australia – we lost and are out of the world cup but congratulations to both teams who give it a 100% sometimes all the matters is that you try your best which the Spingboks did I am SO PROUD of the team 🙂 – brush my teeth, feed myself  pancakes with coconut and sugar for breakfast,  publish my Kid of the Week  feature, prepare and publish my Disability of the Day feature, tweet about my Clean Water For All Campaign – no luck – listen to music– I LOVE Undo It and Sometimes You Leave  by Carrie Underwood (see both  lyric videos below)–  feed myself chicken biryani for lunch, tweet about my campaign some more–still no luck– watch TV and feed myself a McDonald’s junior chicken burger  for dinner.

This morning my brother and I were watching South Africa vs. Australia – the Rugby World Cup quarter-final match – and at the end of it all my brother said outraged how could they lose by two points and although I too was bitterly disappointed I always saw the game for what it was a game and that I guess is my message to you guys don’t blow things out of proportion because no matter what you’re through at least you have three meals a day – I’m assuming – and everything you need unlike the people of Somalia who have to walk for kilometers risking life and limb just so that they can have something to eat. Do the littlest of things have the power to bring you down?

Are we connecting on Twitter? If not, say hi at http://twitter.com/Nisha360

If you’ve given to my cause or you can’t give now, please help me by sharing my cause with others. You can tweet about it like my friend Stan Faryna. This is the tweet he uses: @Nisha360 is a brave, smart young woman trying to make a better world for us all. Please help her do an amazing thing. http://bit.ly/hC7vOu

Stan’s very sweet for saying so, but feel free to write what reflects you best.

Thanks to all my friends out there who are helping me make my dream come true: to make a better world for all of us!
