Day 823

It’s a woman’s prerogative to change her mind– that’s what I learned today 🙂

It’s  5 : 20 PM on day 823 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, publish my Disability of the Day feature,  feed myself toast and baked beans for breakfast, practice typing with both hands, practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles,  stretch my hamstrings and go to physiotherapy – there was an elderly gentleman sitting in the waiting room with us while we – my mom and I –   waited  for dad  to pick us up he started talking to my mom about samosas then turned to me and said it must be difficult living with your handicap, Nisha to which I said it is but what can you do everybody has something they can’t do that is really how I feel about my “disability” everybody has  something they can’t do my something just happens to be visible.

A couple of days ago I wrote I want nothing for Christmas since then I’ve changed  my mind I want you to help me raise Cerebral Palsy awareness you can do that by sharing my post,  Day 707: 13 Facts about Cerebral Palsy, with everybody. Do you feel bad when you say one thing and then change you mind?

I LOVE hearing from you feel free to leave a comment below.

Day 705

Do something different that will get you closer to a happier and better tomorrow. @‏2thank

It’s 5 : 59 PM on day 705 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, prepare and publish my Disability of the Day feature,  feed myself Puri and mutton curry    for breakfast, drink coffee by myself,   tweet, watch TV,  feed myself  butternut and chicken curry  for lunch and watch some more TV.

Today being Saturday I didn’t have to  work so I decided to raise Cerebral Palsy awareness I tweeted Could you guys each tell 10 people about #CerebralPalsy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cerebral_palsy  I would really appreciate it figuring that if 10 people who had at least 10  followers each shared  my tweet with their audience a 100 people would know about Cerebral Palsy I know that me doing this won’t get rid of discrimination overnight but it will make a dent and that’s what I aim to do every  day of my life make a dent in ignorance.   Do you do something different every day to create a better world?
