Day 823

It’s a woman’s prerogative to change her mind– that’s what I learned today 🙂

It’s  5 : 20 PM on day 823 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, publish my Disability of the Day feature,  feed myself toast and baked beans for breakfast, practice typing with both hands, practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles,  stretch my hamstrings and go to physiotherapy – there was an elderly gentleman sitting in the waiting room with us while we – my mom and I –   waited  for dad  to pick us up he started talking to my mom about samosas then turned to me and said it must be difficult living with your handicap, Nisha to which I said it is but what can you do everybody has something they can’t do that is really how I feel about my “disability” everybody has  something they can’t do my something just happens to be visible.

A couple of days ago I wrote I want nothing for Christmas since then I’ve changed  my mind I want you to help me raise Cerebral Palsy awareness you can do that by sharing my post,  Day 707: 13 Facts about Cerebral Palsy, with everybody. Do you feel bad when you say one thing and then change you mind?
