Day 2916: Freedom

What people call you is their business and what you answer to is yours– that’s what I have realized

It’s 8: 01 PM on day 2916 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, spent time outside,  read a Bible verse and do some work

Yesterday I was having a bad day till I remembered that what people call me is their business and what I  answer to is mine – the space between stimuli and response is called Freedom.

Day 2373: The Quality of your Every Day

The quality of your day depends entirely on you – that’s what I’ve realized

It’s 12 : 31 PM on day 2373 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, have breakfast, read Number 6: 24-26 and learn a new word – Definitions for arithmancy
divination by the use of numbers, especially by the number of letters in names. Also arithmomancy.

This morning I was feeling not-so great but I am choosing to say pain be damned discomfort be damned I’m going to make the best of this day every day, even those that are not our best, is a gift and I refuse to spend my days whining about how much pain I’m in or how uncomfortable I happen to be when I have so much to be grateful for and so many opportunities and platforms to make a positive contribution to the world.

Day 2371: “My story | Elizabeth Smart | TEDxUniversityofNevada”

“So I have to encourage every single one of you. When you are faced with a trial, don’t give up, don’t surrender, move forward because you never know what you’ll be able to do with it, you’ll never know the lives you’ll be able to touch.” – Elizabeth Smart

It’s 12 : 37 PM on day 2371 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Malachi 4: 2, go to church, have breakfast and learn a new word –Definitions for luciferous 1.bringing or providing light.2. providing insight or enlightenment.

Recently I watched “My story | Elizabeth Smart | TEDxUniversityofNevada” I was so touched by Elizabeth’s strength and courage and her decision to turn her kidnapping and sexual abuse into something positive. Watch My story | Elizabeth Smart | TEDxUniversityofNevada” below:

Day 2128: Mastering the power of choice

They who master the use of their power of choice ultimately succeed in life – that’s what I know.

It’s 12 : 34  PM on day 2128 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Mark 12: 30, have breakfast, learn one new thing – About 1 to 2 percent of the human population has red hair. Redheads have genes to thank for their tresses. Research shows red hair usually results from a mutation in a gene called MC1R, which codes for the melanocortin-1 receptor. The pigment found in red hair that makes it red is called pheomelanin. – and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign    – raised $6 970 only  $5 530 more to raise to reach my second goal of raising $12 500 for Smile Train before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far 🙂 ) .

Today I realized that those who assess a situation and either choose to change the situation or change themselves ultimately end up succeeding in life.

Day 2066: Choose a Beautiful State of Being

Choose a beautiful state of being – that’s my message to the world.

It’s 12 : 22  PM on day 2066 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read John 3: 9-13, have breakfast, learn one new thing –  The word algebra comes from the Arabic language (الجبر al-jabr “restoration”) from the title of the book Ilm al-jabr wa’l-muḳābala by al-Khwarizmi. The word entered the English language during Late Middle English from either Spanish, Italian, or Medieval Latin.– and work on my  25 Smiles Campaign   – raised $5 724 only $526 more to raise before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far 🙂).

Today I was thinking about what Tony Robbins said in his interview with Lewis Howes he said something like we can either choose a state of suffering or we can choose a beautiful state of being which is absolutely true every moment of our lives we can either choose to be upset about everything that’s going wrong or we can choose to be grateful for everything that’s going right.

Day 1877: Human Beings and the Power to Choose

Human beings are the most powerful living things on the planet in that we have the power to choose how we feel about what happens to us – that’s what I realized today.

It’s  12 :  38 PM on day 1877 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, pray,  read Acts 22, publish my Disability of the Day feature, learn one new thing –Taciturn [tac·i·turn] adj. Reserved or uncommunicative in speech; saying little. “Today the normally taciturn man would not stop talking.”- have breakfast and work on my potential future project.

Today I realized that human beings are the most powerful living things on the planet in that we have the power to choose how we feel about what happens to us I hope that one day everybody comes to this realization and embraces their power of choice.

Day 1598: “Zak Ebrahim: I am the son of a terrorist. Here’s how I chose peace”

“The son does not have to follow the ways of his father.” – Zak Ebrahim, “Zak Ebrahim: I am the son of a terrorist. Here’s how I chose peace”

It’s 12 : 00 PM on day 1598 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth,  pray,  read Jeremiah 15, publish my Disability of the Day feature,  learn one new thing – The longest word in the Oxford English Dictionary is pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis at 45 letters long  (it’s a name of a lung disease caused by silica dust)–     promote my Educate Generations campaign–on $1 650-read and comment on Dad LOVES His Girls, watch “Zak Ebrahim: I am the son of a terrorist. Here’s how I chose peace”, feed myself a peanut butter and a banana for breakfast and continue promoting my campaign – still on $1 650 and still grateful :)

This morning I watched “Zak Ebrahim: I am the son of a terrorist. Here’s how I chose peace” everybody can relate to Zak’s story in some way because all of us have had legacies passed on to us that we know would be better left behind but we carry it with us because we feel like we don’t have a choice but as Zak shows us we can choose to leave behind destructive legacies and create a new legacy. Watch “Zak Ebrahim: I am the son of a terrorist. Here’s how I chose peace” below:

Day 1525: Happiness – a state of mind

“HAPPINESS IS A CHOICE. If you want it, choose it.” – Brenden Dilley

It’s 12 : 00 PM on day 1525 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, pray, read Isiah 12, publish my Disability of the Day feature,    publish my Kid of the Week feature, feed myself egg curry wraps and a pear  for breakfast, hang out with family and promote my Educate Generations campaign – Justina donated $10 yesterday (thank you Justina) which brings my total raised to $830 only $1 670 more to raise to reach goal 🙂

Today I was thinking about happiness I believe true happiness  is a state of mind my happiness doesn’t fluctuate depending on what happens externally what makes me happy is the kind of person I am and what I do to help others. Are you choosing to be happy?

Day 1371: Choose to treat people well

You have a choice as to how you treat people, you can choose to treat them well even if they treat you badly– that’s what I want the world to know

It’s 1  : 21 PM on day 1371 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray,  brush my teeth, read Psalm 58,  publish my Disability of the Day feature,  publish my Kid of the Week feature, promote Eradicate AIDS campaign – no donations 12 June but I’ll keep trying I know I will reach goal because this is God’s campaign and he wants it to succeed – go to church – there was a part of me that didn’t want to go church because it was cold but I forced myself to go God has blessed me in so many ways the least I can do is go to church on Sunday and say thank you  –   feed myself oats  for breakfast and continue promoting Eradicate AIDS – still on $839.54.

This morning I decided to say something nice to someone even though I knew that he probably wouldn’t appreciate it and sadly he didn’t disappoint but I will go to bed knowing I said what I needed to say. Do you often make the choice to rise above and treat people better than they treat you?

Day 1348:Do you choose happiness over worry whenever you have a choice?

Happiness is a choice –that’s what I want the world to know.

It’s 12  : 20 PM on day 1348 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray,  brush my teeth,    feed myself peanut butter sandwiches and a banana for breakfast, read Psalm 35, publish my Disability of the Day feature,   practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles, stretch my hamstrings and  promote my Eradicate AIDS campaign – still on 80% it is the weirdest thing the people I expected would help me with this campaign don’t even ask me about it and the people who don’t know me from a bar of soap are going above and beyond to help me I suppose I’m being too harsh on people they have mortgages to pay and families to support me and my campaign are probably the last thing on their minds which I understand.

Yesterday somebody was worrying about something they had no control over and me being I said something along the lines of there are so many other things to worry about like the fact that all of us are going to be underwater soon (the person I said that to didn’t find it funny at all) I recently figured out that worrying about things you have no control over is pointless so now if I have a choice between worrying and being happy I choose to be happy. Do you choose happiness over worry whenever you have a choice?
