Day 1781: What I’ve learned about people with age

Some people love you and support your work while others just love the bi-products of your work – that’s what I’ve learned with age.

It’s 12 : 11 PM on day 1781 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, pray,  read Matthew 13, publish my Disability of the Day feature,    learn one new thing – Solicitous [so·lic·i·tous] adj. 1. Marked by or given to anxious care and often hovering attentiveness. 2. Extremely careful; meticulous: “solicitous in matters of behavior.” 3. Anxious or concerned: “a solicitous parent.”– have breakfast and promote my Educate Generations campaign – $3 372 raised so far (so appreciate everybody’s support 🙂 ).

This morning I was reflecting on the different types of people in my life with age I’ve learned that some people love you and support your work while others just love the bi-products of your work it hurts a bit but it is what it is.

Day 1703: Age and the Non-Existent Need to Prove Myself

The older you get the less you feel the need to prove yourself to everyone – that’s what I keep realizing.

It’s 12 :  22 PM on day 1703 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, pray,  read Hosea 2, publish my Disability of the Day feature, learn one new thing –Kiribati is the only country that is part of all four hemispheres. The Equator divides the planet into the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, and the Prime Meridian divides it into the Eastern and Western Hemispheres. –  read and comment on Driving to nowhere and everywhere, feed myself a peanut butter and banana sandwich for breakfast  and promote my Educate Generations campaign– $2 899 raised so far so grateful (thanks everyone :)) .

Yesterday my parents’ co-worker (my mom and dad work together) came by and asked what I was doing to which I said nothing much then she asked if I was playing games on my laptop to which my mother said something like no, she doesn’t play games she’s doing her work (I so appreciated that my mom tried to correct her co-worker’s assumption) I didn’t feel the need to elaborate on what my mom said maybe it’s because I’m getting older but nowadays I don’t need people to know everything I’m doing to feel okay about myself.

Day 1642: Age and Me

Age is really just a number – that’s what I keep realizing.

It’s 12 :  20 PM on day 1642 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth,   pray,  read Ezekiel 2, publish my Disability of the Day feature,  learn one new thing –Dr. Seuss’s real name was Theodor Seuss Geisel –     promote my  Educate Generations campaign–Tim Fargo, author of Alphabet Success – Keeping it Simple. My Secrets to Success and founder of TweetJukebox , donated $100 yesterday (thank you SO MUCH Tim you’re AWESOME 🙂 ) which brings my total raised to $2 410 only $90 more needed to reach goal 🙂 – feed myself a peanut butter sandwich for breakfast. make sandwiches for our sisi’s (housekeeper’s)  neighborhood with sisi’s help as part of  Virginia’s Sandwich Run and continue promoting the Educate Generations campaign – so grateful to everyone for helping me raise $2 410 so far for the  Malala Fund 🙂

This morning I was thinking about my upcoming birthday and I didn’t feel old I just felt grateful to be alive almost 24 years to live, love and serve.

Day 1575: Age and knowing who’s there for you

With age comes the ability to distinguish between who’s there for you and who’s just there – that’s what I realized today.

It’s 12 : 39 PM on day 1575 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to  brush my teeth,  pray,  read Isaiah 60, publish my Disability of the Day feature, learn one new thing – did you know that All of space is completely silent. Sound waves need a medium to travel through. Since there is no atmosphere in space, space will always be eerily silent.–  feed myself a peanut butter and banana sandwich for breakfast, promote my Educate Generations campaign– still on $1 335 but I’m grateful and not at all worried I know that God will work through someone to help this campaign achieve its goals 🙂 – and listen to music.

Today I realized that with age comes the ability to distinguish between who’s there for you and who’s just there when I was younger I thought everybody loved me and would be there for me but now I know that only God and a few people will be there for me no matter what and I’m okay with that because at the end of the day that’s all I need. Are you able to  distinguish between who’s there for you and who’s just there?

Day 199

Inspiration – somebody or something that inspires somebody to creative thought or to the making of art.

It’s 8: 48 PM on day 199 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, feed myself French Fries for breakfast, tweet about my Clean Water For All Campaign  for a few hours – no luck – feed myself rice and curry for lunch, listen to music, tweet about campaign some more – no donation were made but I found out that Sarah Brown – wife of former British Prime-Minister  Gordon Brown – is following me on Twitter which might increase my credibility with the general public and thus make raising money  for my campaign a little easier 🙂 –  feed myself custard  for dinner, tweet about campaign some more –still  no luck – and watched TV.

Today listening to Never Grow Up by Taylor Swift (see below) I longed for the time in my life where the biggest decision I had to make was what cereal to eat in the morning but then I realized that it would be kind of weird if we were all frozen in time and I asked myself what do I love about my life now and to my surprise there was actually a lot I loved about being newly  twenty I guess what I am trying to say is something I eluded to leading up to my twentieth birthday just be where you are in your life because at the end of the day you can’t life in the past or the future with that said I urge to do what I did and ask yourself what do I love about my life now I promise you the answers you find will give you a new perspective on your life. Has a song, book or movie ever inspired you to see your life from a different point of view?
