Whatever happens on a given day you’ve got to show up and be the best that you can be – that’s what I learned today 🙂
It’s 7 : 36 PM on day 499 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, pray, read Genesis 10 as part of my ongoing quest to learn more about the Bible, prepare and publish my Disability of the Day feature, work, feed myself a polony sandwich for breakfast, work some more, feed myself a banana muffin – our neighbor who we didn’t know brought them over (only we could live somewhere for nine years and not know our neighbors) – for lunch, finish working, watch TV and feed myself another banana muffin for dinner.
As you know – if you’ve been reading this blog regularly – my parents have their spats now and then but last night thing escalated to who another level they started arguing at night – the usually argued in the afternoon and went to bed at night – which meant none of us – my sister, my brother or I – got any sleep but you know I still got up bright and early and did my job because I knew that extraordinary people did things ordinary people did not do. Are you the best that you can be every day regardless of the circumstances?
Are we connecting on Twitter? If not, say hi at http://twitter.com/Nisha360
If you’ve given to my cause or you can’t give now, please help me by sharing my cause with others. You can tweet about it like my friend Stan Faryna. This is the tweet he uses: @Nisha360 is a brave, smart young woman trying to make a better world for us all. Please help her do an amazing thing. http://bit.ly/hC7vOu
Stan’s very sweet for saying so, but feel free to write what reflects you best.
Thanks to all my friends out there who are helping me make my dream come true: to make a better world for all of us!
