Day 2055: Earth Hour Weekly

“It is horrifying that we have to fight our own government to save the environment.” – Ansel Adams

It’s 12: 38 PM on day 2055 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Matthew 6, have breakfast, learn one new thing – There are some islands and island groups, however, that are not considered part of any continent, geographically speaking. New Zealand, Hawaii, and French Polynesia are among them. Oceania is the collective name for the lands of the Pacific Ocean, including Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia. –  and work on my 25 Smiles Campaign  –  raised $5 615 only $635 more to raise before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far 🙂).

A few weeks ago I started Earth Hour Weekly – every Saturday that I can from 8:30-9:30 PM I turn off the lights and all electrical appliances in my room in an effort to change climate change – I may be just one person but I believe all my actions have impact so I will do whatever I can to protect the Earth and prevent the extinction of the human race. If you would like to participate in Earth Hour Weekly all you have to do is turn off the lights and all electrical appliances from 8:30 to 9:30 PM (local time) every Saturday that you can.

    Nisha:

Ansel was an awesome photographer. Those who say that black and white exposures can’t change the world – well, his did!

    “All our actions have impact”.

“I will do what I can to protect the Earth and prevent the extinction of the human race”.

    Good Action!

Love your Oceania fact. I’ve often Stumbled New Zealand related articles into “Oceania”. A month into doing this thewhizzer picked me up on it – it might have better gone into “Psychology”; “Philosophy”; “Biology”; “Zoology”; “Postmodernism”. I didn’t know all these things in November 2010.

And I see the number for your campaign is growing lower!

Have something to say about this post? Please leave a comment I'd love to hear from you
