Day 2055: Earth Hour Weekly

“It is horrifying that we have to fight our own government to save the environment.” – Ansel Adams

It’s 12: 38 PM on day 2055 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Matthew 6, have breakfast, learn one new thing – There are some islands and island groups, however, that are not considered part of any continent, geographically speaking. New Zealand, Hawaii, and French Polynesia are among them. Oceania is the collective name for the lands of the Pacific Ocean, including Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia. –  and work on my 25 Smiles Campaign  –  raised $5 615 only $635 more to raise before Jan 10 2017 (SO SO SO GRATEFUL to everyone who has supported this campaign so far 🙂).

A few weeks ago I started Earth Hour Weekly – every Saturday that I can from 8:30-9:30 PM I turn off the lights and all electrical appliances in my room in an effort to change climate change – I may be just one person but I believe all my actions have impact so I will do whatever I can to protect the Earth and prevent the extinction of the human race. If you would like to participate in Earth Hour Weekly all you have to do is turn off the lights and all electrical appliances from 8:30 to 9:30 PM (local time) every Saturday that you can.

Day 1686: “Caretakers of Creation”

Sometimes doing what you don’t want to do has great rewards – that’s what I realized today.

It’s 12 : 52  PM on day 1686 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, pray, go to church,   read Ezekiel 45 , publish my Disability of the Day feature, publish my Kid of the Week feature, feed myself  Idli and sambar   for breakfast, learn one new thing –stipple • \ˈsti-pəl\ • verb 1. engrave by means of dots and flicks 2. apply (paint) in small dots or strokes
3. make by small short touches that together produce an even or softly graded shadow, as in paint or ink 4. produce a mottled effect–    Educate Generations campaign–$2 700 raised so far SO GRATEFUL 🙂 .

This morning I didn’t want to go to church it was cold and cloudy but I’m so glad I went because we were privileged to listen to a sermon titled “Caretakers of Creation” it was about creation belonging to God and Him entrusting us with the responsibility of taking care of it the reverend sounded like an environmentalist I wanted to stand up and cheer.

Day 1657: Earth Hour 2015

“We won’t have a society if we destroy the environment.” – Margaret Mead

It’s 12 :  05 PM on day 1657 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to  brush my teeth,  pray,  read Ezekiel 17, publish my Disability of the Day feature,  feed myself an egg sandwich for breakfast, hang with my family, learn one new thing –Excess carbon dioxide (CO2) caused by many factors is a building up in our atmosphere and contributing to climate change. Trees absorb CO2, removing and storing the carbon while releasing the oxygen back into the air. In one year, an acre of mature trees absorbs the amount of CO2 produced when you drive your car 26,000 miles.– and promote my Educate Generations campaign– $2 558 raised so far  :) .

As you may or may not know today at 8: 30 PM (local time) people all over the world will be turning off their lights for an hour as part of Earth Hour – an annual event that aims to raise awareness about climate change. Use your power participate in Earth Hour.
