Day 1796: “Tourette’s syndrome — why it doesn’t define me” – a Ted Talk by Jess Thom

The most extraordinary people in this life turn their pain into purpose – that’s what I realized keep realizing.

It’s 1 :  00 PM on day 1796  of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth,  pray, read Matthew 28,    publish my Disability of the Day feature, learn one new thing –  Average life span[of a parrot] in the wild: Up to 80 years- have breakfast, make sandwiches for Cynthia’s ( our housekeeper’s) neighborhood with mom’s help as part of  Virginia’s Sandwich Run – (thank you sisi Cynthia  for all your help) –    and  promote my Educate Generations campaign – $4 541 raised so far (so grateful a HUGE  thanks to everyone who has helped out so far   :) ).

.

Recently I watched “Tourette’s syndrome — why it doesn’t define me” – a Ted Talk by Jess Thom about Tourette’s syndrome and how she’s turning Tourette’s syndrome tics into superpowers through TourettesHero – I could relate to the decision Jess made to flip a potentially life-defining condition and make it work for her because I made the same decision. Watch “Tourette’s syndrome — why it doesn’t define me” below:
