Day 1555: My thoughts on the Sydney siege

You can’t make sense out of nonsense – that’s what senseless violence is teaching me.

It’s 12 : 16 PM on day 1555 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, pray, read Isaiah 40,   publish my Disability of the Day feature,  feed myself a peanut butter sandwich  and a banana for breakfast, promote my Educate Generations campaign– on $1 190 -read Pakistan Taliban Kill 16 Students In School Raid – some people are so cruel it makes me so sad 🙁 -and continue promoting the Educate Generations campaign – still on $1 190 but I am grateful.

This morning I read that two people (excluding the gunman) died in the Sydney siege it’s so sad and so senseless I’m having a hard time wrapping my mind around the fact that one person would intentionally hurt so many people. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this tragedy.

There is darkness in the human heart. It can be untrustworthy. Therefore, do not permit it to grow cold or for darkness to multiply therein. And be watchful for the work of demons in you and others. Demons have an uncompromising and non-negotiable purpose to cause our destruction.

A great problem for us is to admit that we harbor darkness in our hearts – we are good in our nature. Without God, there is no righteousness or holiness. Also, we do not want to admit to the reality, presence and action of demons. Our teachers have failed us in their ignorance, fear and, perhaps, their pride.

If we are surprised by the evil and horrors that abound, we are ignorant, indeed. Instead, we should mourn and draw closer to the Lord in obedience and love and shout out to Him for help.
