Day 1116: Inspiring or Bragging?

There’s a fine line between trying to inspire and bragging – that’s what I keep learning.

It’s 12 : 54 PM on day 1116 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth,  pray,  feed myself boiled egg and All Bran Flakes for breakfast, read 2 Samuel 19,    publish my Disability of the Day feature, tweet and Facebook about my campaign – nobody donated so far today either 12 days to go – practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles and spend some time outside – sitting in the sun looking at the sky I realized nothing is as big as we make it out to be there is no question without an answer and no problem without a solution 🙂

A couple of days ago AZ over at AZ is Amazing asked me to send her two pictures of myself for her World CP Day photo montage I sent her one of me just sitting on my wheelchair and another of me making sandwiches for the kids in our housekeeper’s neighbourhood on Mandela Day 2013 I was on the fence about whether I should or shouldn’t send the second picture because on the one hand I knew that seeing a picture of me making sandwiches could inspire people to do something greater than themselves while on the other hand helping people, taking pictures of it and submitting it to be a part of photo montage seemed a bit boastful to me in the end I did send the picture because my intention in doing that was to inspire people to do something greater than themselves.   When you tell people about all the things you’re doing do you do it with the intention of inspiring them or are you doing it just to brag?
