Day 532

You’re damned if you do you’re dammed if you don’t – that’s what I learned today 🙁

It’s 8:  03 PM on day 532 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, prepare and publish my Disability of the Day feature, donate $300 to my campaign on behalf of my father’s cousin and my father’s cousin’s son – I was only obligated to donate $200 but since I didn’t want to keep money I didn’t earn I donated the full amount –  work,  feed myself a peanut butter sandwich for breakfast,   work some more, feed myself rice and curry  for lunch, continue working, go with my sister to get her Matric Dance dress made – the housekeeper had already left so we all  had to go and it turned out to be a waste of time the designer was fully  booked 🙁

Today has just been one of those days where I couldn’t do anything right first my dad yells at me because I donated the full $300 given to me by his cousin and his cousin’s son and then my sister yells at me for pushing our mother to go with her to get her Matric Dance dress made – she’s made no secret of the fact that she resents me for mom not showing up for her growing up and I was determined to make things right – I guess that’s life even when you do things out of love people can take things the wrong way. Does everything you do with good intention get misinterpreted?

Are we connecting on Twitter? If not, say hi at http://twitter.com/Nisha360

If you’ve given to my cause or you can’t give now, please help me by sharing my cause with others. You can tweet about it like my friend Stan Faryna. This is the tweet he uses: @Nisha360 is a brave, smart young woman trying to make a better world for us all. Please help her do an amazing thing. http://bit.ly/hC7vOu

Stan’s very sweet for saying so, but feel free to write what reflects you best.

Thanks to all my friends out there who are helping me make my dream come true: to make a better world for all of us!
