Day 529

Once you make a commitment all excuses disappear – that’s what I learned today 🙂

It’s 7:  55 PM on day 529 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, prepare and publish my Disability of the Day feature, work, drink tea by myself, feed myself a peanut butter sandwhich for breakfast,   work some more, feed myself crackers for lunch, go to physiotherapy, watch TV, feed myself rice and curry for dinner and brush my teeth once more.

Today at physiotherapy I was told that I could cut down my physiotherapy sessions from once in two weeks to once a month provided that I worked out a schedule with my mother which would allow me to exercise every day at home I have decided to do it but I know I won’t stick to it unless I enter into a contract with myself so I created one. Take a look:

Lifetime exercise contract:

I Nisha agree to do my physiotherapy exercises – with the help of my mother – for thirty minutes daily for the rest of my life regardless of what happens on any given day.

Stan’s very sweet for saying so, but feel free to write what reflects you best.

Thanks to all my friends out there who are helping me make my dream come true: to make a better world for all of us!
