Day 1673: Speak up for yourself

Speak up for yourself – that’s what Cerebral Palsy has taught me.

It’s 12 : 02 PM on day 1673 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, pray,    read Ezekiel 32, publish my Disability of the Day feature, feed myself a peanut butter sandwich for breakfast,    learn one new thing – Nitrogen was sometimes referred to as ‘burnt’ or ‘dephlogisticated’ air, since air that no longer contains oxygen is almost all nitrogen. The other gases in air are present in much lower concentrations.   – and  promote my Educate Generations campaign– $2 638 raised so far  🙂

Today I was thinking about how Cerebral Palsy has taught me to speak up for myself people tend to ask the people I’m with what I need or want and in the past I let it slide because I didn’t want to be rude but now whenever someone asks a question about me more often than not I interject and answer the question not doing so gives people permission to continue treating me like I’m not there.
