Day 1362: “Who You Are” by Jessie J

Don’t lose who you are in the blur of the stars!

Seeing is deceiving, dreaming is believing,

It’s okay not to be okay.

Sometimes it’s hard to follow your heart.

Tears don’t mean you’re losing, everybody’s bruising,

Just be true to who you are!

Jesse J, “Who You Are”

It’s 1  : 00 PM on day 1362 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray, brush my teeth, feed myself  oats and a peanut butter sandwich  for breakfast, read Psalm 49,  publish my Disability of the Day feature, promote my Eradicate AIDS campaign – no donations so far today but I would like to thank Spur Steak Ranches, South Africa’s biggest and best steakhouse, for retweeting the tweet I sent them about my campaign (thank you Spur Steak Ranches for caring about more than just the bottom line) –     practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles, stretch my hamstrings – today is very cold here which made my hamstring stretches more painful (my whole body gets sifter when it’s cold) my life is pain most days but I choose to be grateful for the fact that I’m alive – and  continue promoting my campaign – still no donations so far today but I’ll keep trying to raise $1000 for the Elton John Aids Foundation (UK) because I believe nobody should die of HIV/AIDS in this day and age.

Yesterday I heard “Who You Are” by Jessie J I was really moved by the lyrics I think all of us can relate to this song because all of us, at one point or another, have left ourselves on the shelf and tried to be someone else. Listen to “Who You Are” by Jessie J below:
