Day 1482: Hard Work Above All

Hard work trumps everything else – that’s what I keep realizing.

It’s 1 : 35 PM on day 1482 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray, brush my teeth, read Proverbs 20, publish my Disability of the Day feature,  feed myself bread with egg with bread for breakfast and promote my Educate Generations campaign – still on $100 but lots of people promised to donate which is great 🙂

Today it dawned on me again that hard work trumps everything else it doesn’t matter how much talent you have your talent won’t work unless you do, it doesn’t matter how much charm you have your charm won’t work unless you do, it doesn’t matter how much money you have your money won’t work unless you do…what matters most is how hard you work so I’m going to work hard at all my goals knowing that I will eventually succeed.

Day 1171: The Most Important Question You Can Ask Yourself Today by Mark Manson

“Everybody wants to have an amazing job and financial independence — but not everyone is willing to suffer through 60-hour work weeks, long commutes, obnoxious paperwork, to navigate arbitrary corporate hierarchies and the blasé confines of an infinite cubicle hell. People want to be rich without the risk, with the delayed gratification necessary to accumulate wealth.” – Mark Manson

It’s 12  : 45 PM on day 1171 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to  pray,  brush my teeth  practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles,  read 1 Chronicles 4, publish my Disability of the Day feature,  feed myself  All Bran Flakes and boiled egg for breakfast, stretch my hamstrings and hang out with my sister.

Today I read The Most Important Question You Can Ask Yourself Today by Mark Manson – an article that asks what pain are you willing to suffer to get what you want in life – I agree with what Mark said in the article everything you want in life has a price I wanted to make a difference in the world so I had to spend days, weeks and months in front of my laptop promoting various campaigns if all you do is sit around saying I want this or that your dreams will always remain dreams to make your dreams come true you have to put in the hard yards.  Are you willing to work hard to get what you want?

Day 507

I am hard working – that’s what I learned today 🙂

It’s 6 : 53 PM on day 507 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth,   pray, read Genesis 18 as part of my ongoing quest to learn more about the Bible, prepare and publish my Disability of the Day feature,  drink tea by myself, feed myself Oats for breakfast,    work,   feed myself rice and curry for dinner and  brush my teeth once more.

Today was my first day working where I had to manage two clients simultaneously and at first I was completely overwhelmed but now I realize that I truly can do whatever I set my mind to because I am willing to work long and hard to get it done. Are you certain that you’ll make it in this life purely because you’re hard working?
