Day 3134: Good Friday

“Maybe the Good Friday story is about how God would rather die than be in our sin-accounting business anymore.” ― Nadia Bolz-Weber, Pastrix: The Cranky, Beautiful Faith of a Sinner & Saint

It’s 5: 05 PM on day 3134 since I started blogging and I managed to go to church, pray, read a Bible verse, spend time outside and work on my 28 For 28 Campaign benefiting charity:water – thanks to Anon and Jessy Jones we’ve now raised $1712 of $28 000 with 72 days to go

Today is Good Friday which is and has always been a day of reflection for me. To those I’ve wronged I beg your forgiveness and to those who’ve wronged me you’re already forgiven (even if you’ll never be sorry)

Day 2754: Good Friday 2018

“It is the resurrection that makes Good Friday good.”  –Ravi Zacharias

It’s 1 : 04 PM on day 2754 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray,  have breakfast, read about The Crucifixion of Jesus  and promote my 50 New Feet Campaign benefiting MiracleFeet –raised  $13 334 only $5 415 more to raise by June 17, 2018 to reach my new goal of helping 75 kids with Clubfoot by June 17, 2018.

Today is Good Friday and it is called Good Friday because Jesus died for our sins and rose again in 3 days. May we extend others the grace and mercy God extended to us through his son Jesus Christ. Forgive all and start anew.

Day 2404: Good Friday and Forgiveness

Forgiveness is giving up the hope that things could have been different– that’s what I keep realizing.

It’s 12 : 59  PM on day 2404 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read Acts 2:32-33, have breakfast, go to church and hang out with family

Today being Good Friday I was reflecting on forgiveness an something Oprah quoted came to mind forgiveness is giving up the hope that things could have been different .

Day 1313: Reflection on Christianity this Good Friday

“God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son.”- John 3:16

It’s 12  : 00 PM on day 1313 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to  brush my teeth,  read Psalm 4, Matthew 26 and Matthew 27,   pray, publish my Disability of the Day feature,  feed myself egg with bread for breakfast and   promote my Eradicate AIDS campaign – still on $582.85 but I’m not giving up I’m doing this  because I believe nobody should die of HIV/AIDS in this day and age.

Today being Good Friday I was reflecting on the part that Christianity played in me becoming the person I am today I believe that I am forever forgiven for all my sins because Jesus died for me on the cross and believing that obliges me to forgive others unconditionally if God forgives me for all my screw ups why shouldn’t I forgive others for their screw ups.

Day 928

After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music. – Aldous Huxley

It’s 1 : 36 PM on day 928 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray, take off my dirty t-shirt and put a clean t-shirt on, stretch my hamstrings,  brush my teeth, go to church – it was quite funny we rushed to church thinking the service started at 9  when we got there the service was halfway done oh well better late than never LOL 🙂 – read Leviticus 8,  publish my Disability of the Day feature, practice typing with both hands and listen to music.

Today being Good Friday I thought I’d share with you my favourite Christian songs. Listen and enjoy:

I LOVE hearing from you feel free to leave a comment below.

Day 571

Life lessons can also be learned in church – that’s what I leaned today 🙂

It’s 3: 59 PM on day 571 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to drink tea by myself, go to church for the Good Friday service,  prepare and  publish my Disability of the Day feature,   feed myself   Idli –   a south Indian savory cake popular throughout India – and Sambar – a dish common in South India and Sri Lankan Tamil cuisines, made of toor dal –  for breakfast, watch TV, feed myself an avocado  for lunch and watch some more TV.

Today at the Good Friday service our reverend explained the four things that the cross symbolizes #4 was with God everything is not what it appears to be which I could relate to  because sometimes when people look at me I can see the pity in their eyes they don’t know that I’m happy just the way I am, they don’t know that I see my “disability”  as a platform to change the world, they don’t know that I work to be a contributing member of society and yet they pity me.   What life lessons have you learned in church?
