Day 1942: The Price of Being Extraordinary

In life you can either be just another number or you can choose to be extraordinary both choices have its pros and cons – that’s what I keep realizing.

It’s 9: 49 AM on day 1942 of my journey towards independence and I managed to pray, read 2 Corinthians 8, learn one new thing – The Sargasso Sea, The Sea Without A Shore. The Sargasso Sea is located in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, just a little north of the equator. The water in the Sargasso Sea is one of the clearest in the ocean, with underwater visibility of up to and incredible 200 feet. – and listen to music.

This morning I was thinking about how strange life is the people who do nothing have no care in the world while the people who actually strive to make a contribution get criticized and railroaded I guess that’s the price we have to pay for choosing to live extraordinary lives.

Day 1496: Are you blessed with an extraordinary life?

A challenged life and an extraordinary life are often one and the same – that’s what I realized today.

It’s 1 : 14  PM on day 1496 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, pray, read Ecclesiastes 3, publish my Disability of the Day feature, feed myself scrambled egg with bread and a banana for breakfast promote my Educate Generations campaign – my friend, Stan Faryna, made a donation of $20 today (thanks Stan you’re awesome! 🙂 ) which brings my total raised to $405 only $2095 more to raise 🙂

Today it dawned on me again that I’ve been blessed with an extraordinary life in one part of my life I am a daughter, sister and music lover while in the other I try to be a change maker doing my best to get around the challenges that come with having Cerebral Palsy. Are you blessed with an extraordinary life?

Day 1270: Are you extraordinary?

Some people are extraordinary while others have the potential to be extraordinary but aren’t – that’s what I realized yesterday.

It’s 12  : 00 PM on day 1270 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to  brush my teeth,  pray, read Job 4, publish my Disability of the Day feature, feed myself egg with bread  for breakfast, promote my Eradicate AIDS campaign – 11 days  no donations and it’s not for lack of trying either I’ve asked my friends, family acquaintances and even strangers to take a look at my campaign and donate if they could and out of the hundreds of emails, tweets and Facebook messages I sent out fifteen people donated (two of whom happen to be related to me) I don’t know what else I can do I suppose I could organize a bake sale or something but for that I would need help and I don’t want to inconvenience my parents they’ve got so much on their plate already  – practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles, stretch my hamstrings and spend time outside.

Yesterday I read an article about a teenage boy who did something too disgusting to write about reading that article made me realize some people are extraordinary while others have the potential to be extraordinary but aren’t. Are you extraordinary or do you just have the potential to be extraordinary?
