Wisdom comes only through suffering. – AESCHYLUS, Agamemnon
It’s 1 : 00 PM on day 1302 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray, brush my teeth, read Job 36, publish my Disability of the Day feature, feed myself bran flakes for breakfast, promote my Eradicate AIDS campaign – Gia founder of Music4Freedom, a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection of global human rights through music campaigns and events, made a donation today (THANK YOU Gia) which brings my total raised to $566.16 only $433.84 more to raise in 98 days to reach goal I knew God would help me get a donation somehow someway (thank you God for not making me look like a fool for believing in you I really appreciate it) -practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles, stretch my hamstrings, listen to music – I love the “Marry Me” by Jason Derulo – I’m a hopeless romantic when I watched the “Marry Me” music video by Jason Derulo starring his real-life girlfriend Jordin Sparks and realized he wrote the song just for her my heart melted – and promote my campaign some more – still on $566.16.
Recently people have been coming to me complaining about things that don’t matter in the bigger scheme of things and the whole time I’m listening to them talk or reading what they have to say I’m thinking I’m wheelchair-bound and you’re complaining about that I think because of the things I’ve been through I can distinguish between what’s important and what’s not. Have you gained a lot of wisdom from your suffering?
