Two heads are truly better than one so ask for input from others when you’re stumped – that’s what I learned today 🙂
It’s 8 : 02 PM on day 514 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, prepare and publish my Disability of the Day feature, pray, read Genesis 25 as part of my ongoing quest to learn more about the Bible, work, feed myself a pepper-steak pie for breakfast, work some more, feed myself rice and curry for lunch, finish working, watch TV, feed myself yoghurt and help my brother with his homework.
As you may or may not know my 21st birthday is coming up next month and although I am usually satisfied with the cutting of the cake and listening to my family sing Happy Birthday today I started thinking about ways that I could have fun on my birthday and do good at the same time only I could think of nothing so I’m asking you guys please make suggestions before 25 March 2012 in the comment section below if I pick your suggestion I will announce it on all my social media accounts and write a post about your favorite charity (Note: For your competition entry to be valid you have to leave a link to your favorite charity along with your suggestion). Are you secure enough within yourself to ask for and receive input from others?
Are we connecting on Twitter? If not, say hi at http://twitter.com/Nisha360
If you’ve given to my cause or you can’t give now, please help me by sharing my cause with others. You can tweet about it like my friend Stan Faryna. This is the tweet he uses: @Nisha360 is a brave, smart young woman trying to make a better world for us all. Please help her do an amazing thing. http://bit.ly/hC7vOu
Stan’s very sweet for saying so, but feel free to write what reflects you best.
Thanks to all my friends out there who are helping me make my dream come true: to make a better world for all of us!
