Day 403

Everything happens for a reason is not just a cliché – that’s what I learned today 🙂

It’s 7: 25 PM on day 403 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, prepare and publish my Disability of the Day feature, listen to music–I LOVE Mine by Taylor Swift the music video especially because I was the little girl in the video growing up (watch it below and you’ll understand which little girl I’m talking about)–  tweet about my Clean Water For All Campaign – no luck – feed myself rice and curry for lunch, go to physiotherapy –I got to leave early because I did so well 🙂 – watch TV and feed myself a  tomato  for dinner.

Yesterday my mom was helping me with my exercises – I have to exercise every day otherwise I’ll have to have surgery to get my hamstrings lengthened and I DO NOT want that – and she commented your legs are so dry and preceded to put cream/lotion on it to which I said I am more than my body parts and as I thought back on it as I caught my housekeeper’s sister staring at me – she was here to do our tenet’s hair after which she came over to help me make sandwiches (our housekeeper was busy with work) – I realized that when people see all that I do they too want to in some way go beyond themselves and that ladies and gentleman makes having Cerebral Palsy worth it. Have you found the purpose in your pain?

Are we connecting on Twitter? If not, say hi at http://twitter.com/Nisha360

If you’ve given to my cause or you can’t give now, please help me by sharing my cause with others. You can tweet about it like my friend Stan Faryna. This is the tweet he uses: @Nisha360 is a brave, smart young woman trying to make a better world for us all. Please help her do an amazing thing. http://bit.ly/hC7vOu

Stan’s very sweet for saying so, but feel free to write what reflects you best.

Thanks to all my friends out there who are helping me make my dream come true: to make a better world for all of us!
