“We don’t see things as they are, we see them as we are.”― Anaïs Nin
It’s 11 : 00 AM on day 1797 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, pray, read Mark 1, publish my Disability of the Day feature, learn one new thing –Axiom [ax·i·om] n. 1. An established rule, principle, or law. 2. A self-evident or universally recognized truth; a maxim. 3. A self-evident principle or one that is accepted as true without proof as the basis for argument.– have breakfast and promote my Educate Generations campaign – $4 541 raised so far (so grateful a HUGE thanks to everyone who has helped out so far ).
Today I was thinking about a quote I read a while ago which reads something like we see the world not as it is but rather as we are it’s so true I see the world as mostly good because I am (or at least try to be) mostly good some call me naive for the way I see the world but I think they only do so because they are hurt (if you’ve been hurt and/or betrayed it stands to reason that you would see the world as a hurtful place).
I’m not a fan of the author Anaïs Nin – particularly for her celebration of sexual immorality.
I just like the quote 🙂
