Most of us are going through the motions and wasting time like we have an unlimited amount of time – that’s what I realized today 🙂
It’s 5 : 53 PM on day 984 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, pray, read Deuteronomy 1, publish my Disability of the Day feature, stretch my hamstrings, change my jacket and t-shirt, practice typing with both hands, tweet and Facebook about my campaign – no donations were made today but I keep trying because I truly believe that EVERYBODY deserves to be free to change the world in their own way – feed myself All Bran Flakes for breakfast, practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles, make sandwiches as part of Virginia’s Sandwich Run with our housekeeper’s help, feed myself rice and curry for lunch, listen to music – I love If You Could See Me Now by The Script every time I hear it I think of Virginia it would not be exaggerating to say Virginia was a second mother to my siblings and I she fed us, she clothed us and sang to us we were so sad when she died but now I realize people never truly die they live in our memories I think she would be happy that I make sandwiches for the kids in our housekeeper’s neighborhood in her memory 🙂 – and go to physiotherapy – I’ve been going to the same physiotherapist for almost 10 years they’ve become our family people have had kids and grand kids since I’ve known them it’s pretty awesome to see people growing and changing.
Today I realized most of us are going through the motions and wasting time like we have an unlimited amount of time when I hear people discuss Justin Bieber’s new hairstyle or who married whom in Hollywood I just want to scream because I know that when all is said and done what people will remember about us is how many people we helped and how much joy we brought to people. Are you going through the motions and wasting time like you have an unlimited amount of time?
