Day 1822: Money and Me

“Money makes your life easier. If you’re lucky to have it, you’re lucky.” – Al Pacino

It’s 12: 31 PM on day 1822  of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray, read Luke 12,    publish my Disability of the Day feature,  learn one new thing – Unlike many other cats, jaguars do not avoid water; in fact, they are quite good swimmers. Rivers provide prey in the form of fish, turtles, or caimans—small, alligatorlike animals. –  have breakfast,   promote my Educate Generations campaign –  $4 730 raised so far [thanks all] – and watch the announcement about the discovery of Homo Naledi – apparently before there were homo sapiens there were  Homo Naledi (sort of like a less advanced version of humans [similar feet, hands and teeth but a smaller brain compared to that of a human] it’s so cool!!).

Today I was thinking about how with age the way I think about money has changed when I was younger as soon as I got money I would want to divide all of it amongst the causes I cared about but in recent times I have realized that I should save and invest some of it because the truth is one day my parents are not going to be around to help me out so now I plan to use the 10% rule (I want to give 10% of however much I earn away [according to the Bible you’re supposed to give it to the church but I was never really hung up on technicalities as long as the money goes to doing good I don’t really care who gets it]) (see daddy I do listen when you speak LOL).

I have considered something more radical – 10% for me and 90% for others. WHat a wonderful thing that could be! What courage it wants to be lived!
