“I’m not a do-gooder. It embarrassed me to be classified as a humanitarian. I simply take part in activities that I believe in.” Gregory Peck
It’s 12 : 01 PM on day 1800 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, pray, read Mark 5, publish my Disability of the Day feature, learn one new thing – Circuitous [cir·cu·i·tous] adj. Being or taking a roundabout, lengthy course: “He took acircuitous route to avoid traffic.” – have breakfast and promote my Educate Generations campaign – $4 591 raised so far (thanks everyone ).
Today is World Humanitarian Day which, to me, is a day for everybody who fights for equality because they believe that opportunity should not be a lottery of birth. Happy World Humanitarian Day to Catherine Constantinides, Sebastian Schütte, Malala Yousafzai, Shiza Shahid, Angelina Jolie-Pitt, Oprah Winfrey, Dave Batston, Elton John, Ertharin Cousin, Kendall Ciesemier and many others the world is built on the backs of people like you thank you so much for who you are and what you do every day.
