Day 1774: What Do I Do When I’m Not Trying To Help People?

Balance is what life is all about – that’s what I have realized.

It’s 12 : 19  PM on day 1774 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, pray,  read Matthew 6, publish my Disability of the Day feature,    learn one new thing – The lemon is native to Asia, around Northeast India, North Burma, and China.
– have breakfast and promote my Educate Generations campaign – $3 372 raised so far 🙂 .

This morning it occurred to me that most people who read this blog only get to see  one side of me, the side that loves to help people, which is fine but there are so many other things I love to do besides that and to show you that below I’ve written down some of my hobbies. Take a look:

My Hobbies

  • Writing (Writing is cathartic for me I write whatever I’m feeling which helps especially since I don’t feel comfortable burdening people with my problems)
  • Reading (Reading transports me to a different world for a while. I love reading books by Jodi Picoult, Malcolm Gladwell, Mitch Albom and Khaled Hosseini )
  • Listening to music ( “Energy” by Keri Hilson is my new favourite song)
  • Watching movies (I’m the kind of girl who cries at the end of The Notebook no matter how many times she’s seen it it’s actually quite embarrassing)
  • Watching Strictly Come Dancing (Strictly Come Dancing is the only TV show I watch I love seeing South African celebrities totally out of their element trying to learn a new skill there’s something very inspiring about that)
  • Watching cooking videos on YouTube (I love watching Jamie Oliver cook he does so with so much love and passion he inspires me to do everything I do with passion)
