“One gift of getting older is that you care less and less of what people think of you.” – Ellen Seidman, The older you get, the less you care
It’s 12 : 46 PM on day 1675 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, pray, read Ezekiel 34, publish my Disability of the Day feature, learn one new thing – Liquid and solid oxygen are pale blue. – feed myself a peanut butter and banana sandwich for breakfast, promote my Educate Generations campaign– Catherine Cook who has donated seven times before donated $12 yesterday and Peter Yobo, author of The 7 Steps To Creating Your Masterpiece Day, donated $50 today (thanks so much Catherine and Peter) which brings my total raised to $2 700 I’m SO GRATEFUL 🙂 – and continue reading How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie – we had loadshedding (enforced power cuts) again today.
Yesterday I read The older you get, the less you care– a blog post on Love That Max about how getting older makes you care less what people think of you – I don’t consider myself to be old (my baby brother begs to differ) but I could relate to what was written in the post I, too, have found that as I’ve gotten older I care less what people think some people’s opinions change with the seasons so nowadays I just try to make God, myself and my family proud.
Nisha, you nailed it! It’s about being proud of who you are. I think Max feels the same!
Yep if God, you and your family are proud of you nobody else matters as much 🙂
