Day 1267: What I’m giving up for Lent 2014

Lent

noun ˈlent

: a period of 40 days before Easter during which many Christians do not eat certain foods or do certain pleasurable activities as a way of remembering the suffering of Jesus Christ

It’s 12  : 25 PM on day 1267 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to  brush my teeth, read Job 1, pray, publish my Disability of the Day feature, feed myself egg with bread  for breakfast, promote my Eradicate AIDS campaign – 8 days and no donations at this point I’m not desperate for donations they will come when they come I’m desperate for people to start caring that people are dying of AIDS because they don’t have money to buy medications I wish I could shake the world out of it’s apathy right now it’s kinda like people are dying of AIDS it’s so sad but there’s nothing I can do about it so I’m going to spend my time talking about Miley Cyrus twerking at the VMA’s God help the world if that’s how the majority of the world’s population is thinking – practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles and stretch my hamstrings.

Last year my doctor said I should not fast so this year I am going to stop swearing for Lent I don’t know how I’m going to cope with my frustration and anger without swearing but I’ll find a way.
