Some people will never take me or what I do seriously– that’s what I’ve come to accept.
It’s 12 : 05 PM on day 1249 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray, go back to sleep – I woke up way too early – brush my teeth, read Nehemiah 6, publish my Disability of the Day feature, feed myself All Bran Flakes for breakfast, practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles, stretch my hamstrings and promote my Eradicate AIDS campaign – nobody donated so far today but Meg Guegan donated £10 yesterday (thanks again Meg your support means A LOT to me 🙂 ) which brings my total raised to $306.58 I’m SO GRATEFUL.
Two days ago someone came to visit and he asked me what I did while my parents were at work so I told him to which he said something like it’s good that you’re involved I felt so patronized people see the things I do as things I do to keep myself busy but it’s fine people can patronize me all they like I take what I do very seriously and work hard to achieve all my goals. Have you accepted the fact that for whatever reason some people will never take you or what you do seriously?
