Most people would rather bury their heads in the sand and say a bunch of nothing instead of facing the world’s problems and trying to fix them– that’s what I realized yesterday 🙂
It’s 4 : 03 PM on day 1223 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to brush my teeth, pray, chat to my extended family in India via Skype, read 2 Chronicles 26, feed myself egg with bread for breakfast, publish my Disability of the Day feature, promote my Eradicate AIDS campaign – nobody donated so far today either you know what they say try, try and try again – go visit family, go watch Delivery Man at the Hemingways Mall – it’s a movie about an irresponsible man who finds out he has 533 kids as a result of multiple sperm donations 20 years prior and that of those 533 kids upwards of 100 are suing to know his identity I really loved it, it was funny and heartwarming I give it a 10/10 – and feed myself brown rice, chickpea curry and stir fry veg for lunch.
Yesterday I realized most people would rather bury their heads in the sand and say a bunch of nothing instead of facing the world’s problems and trying to fix them a Facebook status about setting an alarm clock got more responses than my Facebook statuses about kids DYING of HIV/AIDS it’s so frustrating sometimes I feel like screaming I wish there was a way I could make people realize it is within their power to change the world. Do you face the world’s problems and try to fix them or say it’s not my problem?
