Day 1141: Apologetic no more

Don’t feel so apologetic you can’t help that you need help – that’s what I learned today.

It’s 12 : 38 PM on day 1141 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray, brush my teeth, read 1 Kings 21,   publish my Disability of the Day feature,  feed myself  Bran Flakes and boiled egg for breakfast, click to donate a cup of staple food to people in India via bhookh.com – people think you need a lot of money and time to give but there are sites you can go to like bhookh.com where all you have to do is click and the advertisers on the website donate on your behalf – practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles, stretch my hamstrings and spend time outside.

Today after waking my dad up at 4 AM to take me to the bathroom I realized I shouldn’t feel so apologetic for needing help after all I didn’t ask to have Cerebral Palsy and I’m doing as much as I can by myself.   Do you feel like you need to apologize every time you ask for help?
