Day 1122: 1930 Rare footage of Helen Keller

A true champion can adapt to anything. – Floyd Mayweather, Jr.

It’s 12 : 00 PM on day 1122 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray, brush my teeth,  read 1 Kings 1, feed myself boiled egg and All Bran Flakes for breakfast,    publish my Disability of the Day feature, tweet and Facebook about my campaign -$1020 raised 6 days to go – practice sitting up straight to strengthen my core muscles,  stretch my hamstrings, spend time outside – it’s such a beautiful day outside I thought it would be a shame to waste it sitting inside I think when we look back on our lives all we’ll remember are the small things which are actually the big things so I try to make people smile and appreciate the things that most people don’t notice  – and listen to music – I love The Script I used to be opposed to musicians using swear words in their lyrics but I’ve come to realize I have no right to judge how choose to express themselves.

Yesterday I saw footage of how Helen Keller, the first deaf blind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree, taught herself to speak by imitating the sound vibrations she felt with her hand it’s remarkable to watch. Watch 1930 Rare footage of Helen Keller below:
