Day 1014: There’s a time for everything

There’s a time for everything– that’s what I keep learning.

It’s 3  : 09   PM on day 1014 of my journey towards independence and I’ve managed to pray, brush my teeth,  feed myself a boiled egg and All Bran Flakes for breakfast,    read Deuteronomy 31, publish my Disability of the Day feature,  prepare and  publish my  Kid of the Week feature, email,  tweet and Facebook about my campaign –  still  no luck  but I’m doing this for all the people who have had their free will taken away from them so I won’t give up – and practice typing with both hands.

This morning my brother asked my dad if he could go to my cousin’s house tomorrow (school ended on Friday it’s officially winter break here in South Africa) and my sister asked if she could go somewhere with her friend in that moment I couldn’t help thinking I wish I had friends to go places and do things with sad I know it’s never been easy for me to make friends people my age have left home and are doing their own thing which leaves young kids I have almost nothing in common with so I’ve thrown myself into improving myself and helping people knowing that one day I will have all the friends I’ll ever need. Do you keep your nose to the ground and work hard knowing that one day you will  have everything you want?
